Tayto if you ring/email them they'll refund you for it. Still annoying though. I would still use the pork loin joint tbh, if it smells ok on the day.

Taytocrisps · 30/12/2017 19:20

I spotted the date when I was unpacking the shopping and returned it with the delivery man. He was fine about taking it back.

ememem84 · 30/12/2017 19:36

I’ve just had a txt from hospital to remind me to go to an appointment on Wednesday for a colposcopy (I had an abnormal smear back in 2016 they referred me for one then and everything was fine but they doa follow up a year after - I’d just had ds so they rescheduled for 3 months after). Fun times here.

unescorted id imagine that if it was anything to worry about they’d have called you ASAP.

Am drinking my Christmas gin from dh. Brockmans. It tastes very berry like. I had it just with tonic yesterday. This evening I’ve styled it with frozen blueberries and a shaving of orange peel. #fancy #showoff #ilikegin Gin

It’s delish.

£53 Waitrose in two bottles of prosecco 2x wine 6x cans of tonic and eleventy million packets of crisps and dips for party tomorrow evening.

Loveabaconsandwich · 30/12/2017 19:59

Spendy day

£57 build a bear
£15.50 McDonald’s

It was DD2s third birthday today so the build a bear was her birthday treat (and of course DD1 got a bear too). Our house is full of toys now.

DD1 goes back to school on Tuesday.

As the other said unescorted i’m expect you would have got a call if really needed Flowers. Sorry you came back to this.

You definitely have to pay attention to dates with online food shops tayto

Need to food shop tomorrow as we have mainly eaten leftover this week and don’t have anything that goes left to eat

Decluttering is going well. We have given DD1 our old computer desk and now I have a proper space to put the clothes airer in the spare room. Which means you can now get to the cupboards in that room and hopefully will be easier to keep tidy

Unescorted · 30/12/2017 20:03

Thanks peeps. Nothing can be done until Tuesday. Ha! It has been so long since I have been to the GP I am not sure they have my mobile. There wasn't any messages on the home phone so I guess it is nothing too bad.

I hate having my groceries delivered for that very reason. They take no care. Although we used to get a really good farm gate coop delivery when we lived over Liverpool way. It was like having a farmer's market delivered to your door.

LonelyOversharer · 30/12/2017 20:25

We are back. Over 340 miles done. The car has developed a massive problem with it's brakes. We were extremely careful coming home. New parts on order, car parked until further notice.

Was good to see mil, she's pretty ace; and her gsd was very well behaved, but he is like a bear, it takes a while to get used to him. Only spent £11 in tescos on lunch stuff, dp bought the fuel and coffee. I did the dc a quick bits and bobs tea when we got home instead of stopping for takeaway (car pretty incapable of stopping).

I have two back on thursday, two on the 8th. So I need to un-christmas the house and find uniform, pe bags etc this weekend. We don't really do nye, neither of us drink, and the dc tend to just go to bed!

northender · 30/12/2017 20:49

As others have said Unescorted I'm sure if they needed to contact you urgently, they would've done.
Cars can be a money pit Lonely, bad timing
The gym we use was our council leisure centre, recently sold to "Better" a nationwide social enterprise. Ds' deal is for gym, swimming & classes. Dh only ever uses the gym so could get that for £17 a month but I will ask if there is a better deal if we pay a lump sum.

ChristmasSeacow · 30/12/2017 22:27

Lots of abnormal results turn out not to be anything sinister Unescorted, hopefully it’s nothing on further examination.

Car situation sounds a bit ‘white knuckle’ Lonely! What is a gsd though?

Roast rib of beef was amazing. Totally melt on the mouth, can’t believe I’ve never cooked that before! It was worth the cost but still will need to be a very occasional treat - maybe a regular Christmas option. There’s quite a lot left so there will be lovely sandwiches for the next couple of days. I might take some to our friends’ house tomorrow as we may not get through it all. There’s a few of us getting together for a NYE house party, hoping Kids all go to bed okay. We are taking puddings for everyone but ingredients are already bought so hoping for an NSD, unless we need petrol.

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/12/2017 06:32

Got to go shopping this morning but we don't need much. 3 weeks worth of meals just from the freezer.

Yours is not an area to not have breaks lonely. Bet that was an interesting drive back.

Naughty need, get those tyres changed.

No plans for tonight. Dh is on call and already had 1 call out. I'm taking the kids to see Tim Peake space capsule today as well.

mammymammyIRL · 31/12/2017 06:34

Place marking while I'm up with ds.
Spends yesterday
€58.30 on food pre theatre and €5.50 on parking. Food & Musical were both fantastic & ds and my df got on famously while we were gone.
€11,15 on calamine lotion & colon cleanse tablets to settle my tummy back to normal after the excesses of Christmas
€24 on topup shop to include a number of treats for ds while we were away yesterday

mammymammyIRL · 31/12/2017 06:35

Ds's contribution at bottom of post Grin

WheelyCote · 31/12/2017 07:46

Morning all. I've got my extra shift today. It's in a different area to where I normally work and had a complete new computer system.

I'm a bit nervous😬 roll on 7:30m tonight and I'll be glad I've done it but pls cross your fingers for me that it goes well

ChristmasSeacow · 31/12/2017 07:58

Are you healthcare wheely? Good luck today.

I want to see the space capsule!

I’ve just used the last of the Rice Krispies so it won’t be an NSD - DS’s regular breakfast so essential. I’ve come out with a cold sore so now feeling bleurgh and not really like going to a houseful of people. Also can’t kiss the baby /DS which is extremely hard as they are both edible! Sad

Unescorted · 31/12/2017 08:13

Thanks North ours were taken over by Places for People. The service hasn't improved.

Sea Ta. My rational head says more likely than not it is nothing. I need to borrow you ds's number head.

We are off for our Christmas dinner at my mil's today. She hasn't read the memo cancelling Christmas. She thought it was just delayed. Thankfully she has been unable to get a Turkey.

WreckTangled · 31/12/2017 08:40

Slept in until 8 Shock dd was up reading but ds slept until just after 8 that's 13 hours sleep he had.

Life Tim Peake is local to us

Good luck wheely!

Ours is places for people too. Swimming lessons are £££££

We're going to gunwharf quays today. I need new jeans and I like the gap outlet. Will use Christmas money.

FridgeCut · 31/12/2017 08:42

There are lots of reasons for a recall on a mammogram, they are very cautious about anything evenly slightly unusual or if the images aren’t sufficient. Sometimes they’ll have you back for an image with a magnifying paddle or an ultrasound. You might be able to get a telephone appointment with the gp to discuss it quicker?

Ocado coming this morning, £60. Didn’t think that was too bad as I have quite a few bits in there for a special lunch tomorrow.

Spent £8.75 yesterday on wall paper samples and £12 in Asda. The wallpaper is for the lounge. We haven’t decorated at all really since we moved in to our new build in 2011.

LonelyOversharer · 31/12/2017 08:55

Good luck wheely I'm guessing it's a good rate of pay today?

German Shepherd Dog Seacow he's bloody huge (and has inch long teeth), show dog size. He's devoted to mil, and tolerates us! Any burgler would make a huge mistake.

Very windy here. The boiler keeps blowing out and going through it's noisy start up.

No idea what to do today, possibly take the decorations down, but need to empty a storage box for the loft, as they can't be stored at the shop anymore. Must look in the loft. I want a new roof, and the loft all boarded out (roof pitch and floor) with a velux for light, but this will cost 4k+ and I need to pay down my debt a bit. Not enough head hight for a conversion unfortunately.

SunnyLikeThursday · 31/12/2017 08:55

Quite week still here. Much rain outside though. Splosh

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/12/2017 08:58

I will post a photo. I can't remember where you live sea but it's moving to York next.
Ooh have your seen him wreck?

WreckTangled · 31/12/2017 09:06

No life afraid not Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/12/2017 10:10

Oh god I've hit the wall. Too much booze & carbs. Tonight I'll make a Dahl & plain rice.

Making butter bean soup for lunches.

Wolfcub · 31/12/2017 10:34

The space capsule is amazing, and small, enjoy! Hoping for a nsd today. We all have horrendous colds but may go for a walk and will have to pay parking of we do

ememem84 · 31/12/2017 10:38

Bother. Have woken up with a sore throat and a snuffly nose.

Today dh is taking ds to see fil. I wanted to stay home to tidy the house up. If I can do it in an hour I’ll have a couple of hours chill time. 😀

Should be nsd.

Ds is currently sitting up against the pillows in our bed chatting to catface. It. Is. So. Cute. She’s sat out of his reach but he’s waving his arms about and chatting to her. Occasionally she meows back. 😻

needastrongone · 31/12/2017 10:40

Absolutely no sense in worrying about something Unescorted until there is something to worry about, that's my motto. Thousands of lost hours in fretting in anticipation. xx

You could go out and run 11 miles at 7.50 mm as I did this morning to purge your excesses Grin

The Tim Peake space capsule looks good, I'll investigate to York one, cheers Life.

Today I'll pay for parking as DH got the wrong size Doc's for DD, so need to be exchanged.

We are out for a meal tonight but I'm actually getting sick of excess and lounging around too, I'm never great at it tbh.
