LonelyOversharer · 25/12/2017 05:39

Ten past five here Confused

Ds is sensibly still asleep. But my over excited nearly 15yr old is up and has looted her stocking!
It is going to be a long day. I guess I'm not getting back to sleep.

Happy Christmas!!

SnugglySnerd · 25/12/2017 06:02

Oh no Christmas! Hope she gets well soon.

Happy Christmas all!

We are up with the babies but no sign of DD yet!

WreckTangled · 25/12/2017 06:29

Merry Christmas!

Seacow poor you!

Ds woke up with a temperature of 39.6! He's still ok in himself though so we will keep plodding along with it.

Hope everyone has a lovely day Smile 😴

ememem84 · 25/12/2017 06:40

seacowwreck oh poor you with poorly ones. Hope they feel better soon.

Ds is still quite snuffly and snorey. Sigh. So it kept me awake a lot. I saw 1am 3am 4am and am now awake. He just woke up crying. No idea why he’s doing this now. He never used to...

I say no idea I know he’s going through a developmental leap - if the wonder weeks app is accurate.

Merry Christmas to all. Have lovely days. Will be back later.

Loveapiginblanket · 25/12/2017 07:44

Oh no seacow Flowers Hope she is a little better now.

ememem84 · 25/12/2017 09:11

Catface sort of opened a lot of the presents under the tree. Woke up to find shredded paper everywhere 😂 knew it would happen sooner or later. She’s been so restrained.

My present from dh was a new handbag. Emerald green. Soft soft leather. Smells amazing. And a bottle of gin. I luffs him.

GrinGin

Laska5772 · 25/12/2017 10:03

mammymammyIRL · 25/12/2017 10:45

Happy Christmas everyone Xmas Grin

Cagliostro · 25/12/2017 11:26

Merry Christmas everyone Xmas Grin

Great day so far, although can I admit I was a tad grumpy/tearful thanks to 4 hours sleep Xmas Blush have relaxed upstairs with Cagletini feeding for a bit though and feel more human now. I didn’t miss much as DS was engrossed in building one of his Lego sets and DD1 was watching Descendants 2 (which is even more crap than the first, but she loves it!).

Caglets absolutely ecstatic with all their presents, as am I Xmas Grin

Em my cat did that when I wrapped a cat treat stocking and left it under the tree on his first Christmas with us. On a related note, if you like peppermint teabags, don’t leave it on the counter where she can get to it. Oh dear god the massacre. Xmas Grin

Sorry there are still some poorly little ones.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/12/2017 13:24

Merry Christmas!

ememem84 · 25/12/2017 13:47

cag I can imagine. She massacres catnip hedgehogs. A charity here crochets them. They last all of 20 minutes.

Dparents have been so generous. Ds has been spoiled.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/12/2017 16:42

£30 towels but used vouchers. My last set was christy and lasted 11 years so I can't grumble.
£12 present.

SunnyLikeThursday · 25/12/2017 16:58

Merry Christmas! We have been building lego. All done now.

Went to our new Church for Christmas service today, which was odd as all our friends were at the old one. Good to have gone though.

LonelyOversharer · 25/12/2017 18:24

On balance we have had a good day. Lovely meal, everyone happy with their presents. My christmas dress was good, very comfy. Back in my pj's now, dress away for next year. Two nsd's in a row, going for a third tomorrow, if the milk holds out.

Downside, tipping with rain so no after lunch walk, everyone tired as dd3 got us up so early, ds has been asleep for 2 hrs (so he'll be up all night), and dd1 got slime (awful stuff, do not buy this) in dd2's hair. It washes out, but dd2 was hysterical.

I'm so suprised at how un frugal my parents are! I see them all the time, but we only eat there on high days and holidays. Left overs...had to stop my dad binning them, it was meat! Explained I have dogs and chickens (he does know). Am mum was dithering if sausages would be ok to eat later. What!! I put it all in tubs and brought it home. They live comfortably now, but as a child we wasted not a bite. So strange.

Laska5772 · 25/12/2017 18:41

Full bellies here. But the fridge is still groaning.
Dh bought me a beautiful handmade silver hammered bangle ( exactly what i would have chosen myself ) and lots of other goodies books cds chanel nail polish on a beautiful orange and other lovely stuff i cant remember. and s new waiters friend as i broke the last one !! GrinWine. Its now a choice of plop in front of telly or walk roind the village to look at christmas lights.
Hmm...Tricky...

.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/12/2017 18:42

I've noticed this too. It's not even accurate information Confused

Laska5772 · 25/12/2017 18:47

Beef wellington was delish and pannacotta turned out fine.we had them with a frozen strawberry sauce ( or granita if you are posh )

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/12/2017 19:14

Full here. Loads of meat and roasties left. Beef will be made into chilli, ham into egg and chips then carbonara.

Will have to go to a shop tomorrow for milk oranges and pharmaceutical products. Much as it against my principal to shop on boxing Day needs must. Don't need anything from the sales though except window blinds.

WreckTangled · 25/12/2017 19:23

Ds still has a fever. It'll be a week tomorrow!

Have still had a lovely day though and are off to my mums tomorrow for another day.

There's lots of stuff I want in the sales but I'm starting my frugality now and not getting anything. If I see winter boots I'll get them but that's it. Oh and jeans. Might go to gunwharf.

ememem84 · 25/12/2017 20:40

We have been well and truely spoiled. Dparents and dsis gifted us super useful things - pants socks jammies smellies. We’ve had vouchers for a number of places too some for ds some for us.

Ds’ first Christmas was lovely. It was a different Christmas to last year. And next year will be different again I expect.

AdoraBell · 25/12/2017 22:21

Bit late Xmas Blush hope every has a had a lovel Christmas Thanks 🍸🎂 all round.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/12/2017 23:20

Also a late one here, merry Christmas to everyone!

I've had a lovely day even with work getting in the way for a few hours!! Have been so proud of dd who has been so grateful and pleased with all her gifts, she cried when she saw the soft toy I got her from America (saved £50 on that thanks to wrecks advice Wink ) was a lovely moment.

I've got the girl called jack book and am already looking forward to making some of the food!! My mum has completely spoiled me and I've new clothes, a cath kidson bag as well as a fit bit! !

Have eaten tons, planning on being a tad more sensible tomos...

wreck do you think ds could have an underlying infection somewhere? Ears maybe, dd had loads and sometimes the only symptom was a temp.
