I’ve just found some Murray mints in the glove compartment. I am on a winning streak today

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/12/2017 16:02

I forgot to say surveys don't take ages, you get quicker at them anyway. Don't discount the smaller ones as they are sometimes screening for bigger surveys of £20.

John Lewis sale starts tonight.

WheelyCote · 24/12/2017 16:15

Marking place for when I rehobble back on the Moneysaving cart....after the gazillionth time lol

Hope you have all had an amzing christmas!

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/12/2017 16:29

LOL Christmas at the Murray Mints. Made me actually laugh out loud. Smile

I've had row too with extended family, but I don't mind because I never have had extended family at Christmas for years and years, so the fact that we have someone to row with is a step up. Woohoo!

I'm keeping Christmas so low key this year that Ds had to remind me to get the table out and set it, and Dh had to remember about making the Christmas cake. Good I think.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 24/12/2017 16:56

We are at mums, house looking lovely and christmassy and I've made the Christmas trifle which looks delicious

Picked up some last minute bits in tesco £8.

Merry Christmas to you all Xmas Smile

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/12/2017 17:00

Good point Girlie! Merry Christmas when it comes. Xmas Smile

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/12/2017 17:43

OMG the sale emails have started. Does that mean all the computer systems people are working tonight to make sure the servers cope with the demand? That's not what Christmas is meant to be about at all. Must resist on principle.

WreckTangled · 24/12/2017 18:04

I'm so annoyed with all the sales starting already! It's Christmas fgs! I need some new boots but nothing else so won't be looking in the sale for anything.

ememem84 · 24/12/2017 18:08

Have had a Christmas cry. Realisation along with dh that this is the last Christmas as we used to have. I know ds is here but it’s still A fairly “adult” Christmas - as ds is still too little to know any different. And so much change this year!

I’m not good with change but have coped amazingly this year.

Dsis came round today and has organised the shit out of our house. She had to clean and tidy hers but didn’t want to so came and organised us instead.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/12/2017 19:14

It'll be very exciting though em. The kids next door are off their faces with excitement.

Need I pmd you. Just something to make you snigger.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/12/2017 20:02

All presents given out.
Food prep done - ish
Christingle done
Kids quivering with excitement and in bed wide awake.

Santa is 5 1/2 hours away - better get a move on

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/12/2017 20:02

Happy Christmas

OhLittleDorrittofBethlehem · 24/12/2017 20:18

Merry Christmas Frugaleers! Xmas Smile

Laska5772 · 24/12/2017 20:21

Just washed up after fab( if i say so myself) Christmas eve buffet. I cooked langoustines and made a christmas 'wreath' (basically a big sausage roll) from the sainsburys mag.. was voted best thing ever by Dh and Ds .. I am ever so slightly pissed so have vetoed making tomorrows pannacotta.. we will have mince pies and cream for dessert instead.. its not like we dont have enough in!
Spoke to dm and df .. they seem a bit better but not much tba......
Happy Christmas Frugaleers!!

ememem84 · 24/12/2017 20:28

Merry Christmas y’all.

We’ve watched muppet Christmas carol. I’ve opened a naice bottle of bubbly (taitinger - thanks lovely client!!) and ds has had a bath. We’ve had pasta bake for dinner and ds is now snoozing on my lap.

I bloody 💙 Christmas. So so happy 😭😊

Laska5772 · 24/12/2017 20:35

we have just washed up I should say.. DH washed , Ds Dried , I put away Grin

Loveapiginblanket · 24/12/2017 20:36

Merry Christmas everyone!

Presents are all ready under the tree.

House is clean and tidy. Could really have done with washing the kitchen floor but couldn’t be bothered and DM and DF who are coming tomorrow don’t have high standards really Xmas Wink

Only spent £24 on fresh stuff in Tesco. Supermarket was quiet but M&S food place driving home was queuing onto the main road.

But then DP took the DC out for a walk and bought more stuff for the turkey.

I hope all the frugaleer babies sleep well tonight and tomorrow night. Hope no one gets woken up too early!

Loveapiginblanket · 24/12/2017 20:37

Sorry to hear about the family drama laska Wine

SnugglySnerd · 24/12/2017 20:52

Thanks Love we definitely need sleep vibes sent to the babies. They were up at 4.30 today!

Em I feel a bit like that. In the past I'd have been a bit er... "festive" by now but I haven't even had a drink yet! It is very exciting seeing how excited DD is though and tomorrow will be a lot of fun.

LonelyOversharer · 24/12/2017 21:26

Christmas pj's distributed. Tab-nab buffet eaten. Movie watched. Kids dispatched to bed! Like hell will they sleep soon (and I've only one sceptical believer left, plus one who won't risk outing FC just in case!).

Having the living room tidy is a revelation! It's like we can breathe in here! All 6 of us quite cosy watching lego batman (very good!) together was lovely.

Turkey legs processed, stock is reducing. All is good.

Have a very peaceful night frugaleers, and a very very happy christmas tomorrow xx

WreckTangled · 24/12/2017 21:34

I've just wrapped ds' go-kart. They're fast asleep but oh my goodness the stress of listening out for them is too much 😂 I'm off to bed.

Merry Christmas everyone!

ememem84 · 24/12/2017 21:44

Ds just woke up screaming. Dh thought a bad dream. I guessed wind. Half a bottle and some serious burps left I win! He’s gone to bed and is snoring like a trooper. I bloody love that kid.

I know he’s not going to understand tomorrow. But it’s going to be the loveliest of lovely days.

Hope everyone has a good one xx

Taytocrisps · 24/12/2017 22:23

We've just finished watching carols from Dublin Castle and now DH has put on Mrs. Brown's Boys. Nnoooo! If it wasn't Christmad Eve I'd ltb Xmas Wink. DD is sitting beside me in her Elf pjs all excited.

Happy Christmas to all the frugaleers. Hope you have a lovely Christmas. Mwah! (I may be on my second Baileys).

100yearsdotcom · 25/12/2017 00:52

Happy Christmas frugaleers! Xxx

ChristmasSeacow · 25/12/2017 04:08

Christmas is... catching your baby’s vomit with your hand Xmas Hmm. 2 sleepsuits and 2 sleeping bags down and MIL’s rug will never be the same again.

Still, Merry Christmas all. I can confirm that the Big Man has been! Xmas Wink
