Good. I hope he gets evicted. Little cunt.

LonelyOversharer · 02/12/2017 11:08

Well put fluffy Xmas Grin

ememem84 · 02/12/2017 11:49

fluffy couldn’t have said it better myself.

At the stables now. It is freezing. So so cold. I’m sheltering from the cold in the car with the heaters on full. Hoping that if I leave it long enough and get out of the car at the last minute then when I get back in after my hour/hour half the air won’t be icy cold blasting out at me. Not sure if it works like that.

Have skinny gloves and huge fingerless wrist warmers on today.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/12/2017 11:58

Waitrose cheese counter is half price today. Tomorrow the Xmas cakes are half price.

Laska5772 · 02/12/2017 13:09

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/12/2017 13:12

Succinctly as ever fluff. Thirded.
Take it easy em.
Spendy on food as per on Saturday.

mammymammyIRL · 02/12/2017 13:15

After making an impulse decision to take ds to cinema dd at birthday party, dh at Boys day out so we deserve it Grin
Grocery shopping can be done after! Dd is also going to cinema in two weeks with ladybirds so she's not missing out

€12.70 on stamps to post some cards & €29.50 on gas

LonelyOversharer · 02/12/2017 13:19

I have to watch Delias christmas countdown every year laska it's so dated, and all her food looks grey, but it's all part of the process for me!

Mincemeat, christmas pudding, christmas cake are, imo, the work of the devil. Ditto trifle and sprouts. I do a very non traditional christmas food wise! Booze in cake makes me boak.

Making a cake this year with ginger, pecans and dates instead of the usual gross bits. I make a lot of yule logs, and always do a Norwegian Kransekake (I even have the special tins), which is like a huge chewy macaroon mountain.

SnugglySnerd · 02/12/2017 13:23

That sounds awful Em. Hope you are OK Flowers.

We have achieved the impossible today and had a fairly lazy morning. DH is putting the babies to bed and I can hear a lot of crying though so the afternoon might not be so good!

needastrongone · 02/12/2017 15:01

em, that’s just crap, hope you are okay. fluffster sums things up perfectly.

Same laska, not a fan of mincemeat type cake, pudding or pie. We always do the pudding and then a chocolate desert for Christmas dinner.

I had written off today as being too hungover to do anything but I’m fine actually so I’ve got lots done. God knows how, I drank a shed load of red.....and the night got quite raucous Grin

Washed all my cushion covers (way too long since I’ve done this particular task..) Made brownie, made carrot, ginger and coconut soup, cleared out 3 drawers, scrubbed out my chickens, done the ironing and cleaned out the car. Sat with a cuppa now.

NSD.

needastrongone · 02/12/2017 15:02

needastrongone · 02/12/2017 15:05

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 02/12/2017 15:24

Bloody hell Em what the fuck is wrong with people? Angry I have to say having lived in a flat and now in a house i would never go back!! I hated having people living above us, we used to be able to hear them flushing the loo and having huge barnies Hmm

We have had a nice morning, dd had riding and did some cantering and jumps which looked good. Was bloody cold though, I think being out in the country it is colder. A work colleague had a little get together over lunch which was lovely, caught up with some colleagues I hadn't seen for a while which was nice.

Now snuggling up on the sofa which the heating on watching The Muppets Christmas Carol, love this film Xmas Smile

NSD.

needastrongone · 02/12/2017 16:03

I’m crashing now mammyGrin

ememem84 · 02/12/2017 16:18

Snaps girlie also did cantering and Juno’s. Although I almost came a cropper. Pony stumbled right before my last jump I was already forwards and up in jump position and my foot slipped out the stirrup. Luckily we both recovered it.

Home for 2pm. Ds was sleeping as was dh. Took bins out and was confronted by the little gobshite neighbour. Told him if he spoke to me again I’d call the police. Again. Little fucktard.

Anyway. Ds woke himself up screaming. Like in pain screaming. I suspect wind. And that dh hadn’t quite burped him properly. (This is one of my annoyances - I know it’s difficult to know how long to burp for but I burp until I have a burp. And ds has never woken up screaming.)

He’s had a change a good burp and a feed. And have managed to get him to nap now. Am trying to get on with changing beds and laundry. Sigh. It’s never ending.

Dh has popped into work for a bit.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/12/2017 16:27

Haven't the police been round yet to see him?. You can report him again, he's obviously not a nice character & needs to be on the police radar. You should be able to enter & leave your property in safety.

I do wonder where you have to live to be safe these days. Dcousin lived in a lovely area but got a gobshite neighbour and moved because it spoiled the area for them.

Gobshite neighbour was a nouveau riche sort living off his sons money.

Cagliostro · 02/12/2017 16:58

Lonely they would be perfect! If you really don't need them they would be much appreciated, we can all wear them and put them on the buggy too as you said. Yay!

Bloody hell em what a wankbadger.

I don't want to think about what was spent today! I love Christmas shopping a little too much I suppose. Xmas Blush Definitely spent more due to not being so organised and doing it in advance or maybe I just didn't notice in previous years as it was more spread out.

Reeling from Christmas shopping. Spent an absolute fortune and still not got everything

Got DP his present and it was more expensive than I expected but he's so hard to buy for that many years he dosen't get a present at all beyond a bottle of port so was pleased to have an idea for once Grin

Also sorted out MIL's present (m&s scarf and hat and threw in gloves a well since they were on 3 for 2) , some little things for DCs to have with their main presents and a Christening present for new nephew.

DD was with me in town so took her out for lunch another £20.

Whispers very quietly I spent about £160 today :( :( How the hell did that happen?

mammymammyIRL · 02/12/2017 17:44

€4 on 2 win every time teddies and €175 at Aldi needing cleaning supplies, bought all meat & fish for dinners this week and included hot cloth cleanser and an orchard toys card game reduced to €2 will send it to au pairs grandchildren with some chocolate Santa's, it was seaside theme so will remind them of their holidays at our house.

Em I can't believe he approached you again Angry

Need it was inevitable.

I was saved from expense of brushed cotton sheets in Aldi as they were resorting them for display, they felt lovely and you all were rave about them so I may be shopping online later.

Cag I haven't totted what I spent in total yet,I did look for bargains but didn't set a budget Blush

ememem84 · 02/12/2017 17:56

Oh they spoke to him yesterday. He’s an asshat. I called the non emergency number though and reported that he’d approached me again. I’m going in tomorrow morning to do the formal bit and get copies of the paperwork.

ChristmasSeacow · 02/12/2017 18:20

Nothing worse than neighbour problems Em, makes you feel uncomfortable in your own home Angry

I've had lots of hand-me-down equipment but not too much by way of clothes for my babies - just bad timing /genders in relation to my friends' children. I don't think I got given anything at all for DS though I've had a few bits for DD. Love a hand-me-down! Some baby things are far too lovely only to be used for 3 months anyway. Would be such a waste.

It's really mild here compared to the last few days (we had a few snowflakes in the air here in Norf London but nothing settled). Today we've been out without coats pruning the shrubs out the front and sweeping leaves Shock

Busy few days here - friend round for lunch yesterday and my sister for dinner. DD has been really unwell with a cold and a fever so there's been very little sleep indeed - happily she turned a corner yesterday and things are looking up.

Today I have pruned and swept out the front of the house, made two lemon drizzle cakes for charity fete (will make cheese scones tomorrow am), taken a load of garden waste and other stuff to the tip, made 2 huge chicken and leek pies for tomorrow (we're hosting lunch for 12) and am currently making 60 choux buns for profiteroles for pudding tomorrow. And I've trimmed the Christmas tree and brought it into the house and set it up, though we haven't decorated it yet. I still need to clean the whole of downstairs, make dinner tonight and put up Christmas decorations. I am knackered!

Sorry Lonely I didn't get a chance to respond to your yarn comment. I do indeed know Noro - I've recently finished an entrelac scarf in a beautiful noro yarn. I'll try and post a picture later.

In a rush today!

LonelyOversharer · 02/12/2017 19:40

Other than postage, which is in my paypal, I think it's been a nsd!

I need quite a few of these this December! I have decided though, that for the new year I'm going to do all my grocery day to day stuff on my cashback credit card. Then make a weekly payment to it. The cash back is tiny, but I've accumulated about £24 this year, and I use the card currently about 1/5 of the time I shop.

cag will pop them into the post, the brighter the better!
