How long did you feel rough for, after your covid booster?

I've had my flu jab Tuesday and yesterday covid booster. I was trying to get them out of the way while I'm on annual leave, as I expect next week at work to be full on crazy, long hours etc. This is my fourth covid jab and none of the others made me feel unwell (had both Pfizer and AZ). If your covid jab made you unwell, how long did it last for? I'm really hoping I'm OK tomorrow.

I felt pretty bad for 3 days after my covid booster. My arm hurt - I had heat and redness, I felt incredibly tired and had brain fog.

SkylightSkylight · 28/10/2022 14:09

I had the Pfizer, did you?

I had covid & flu together on the Saturday morning. I felt a bit 'not great' sat night/Sunday, I went to work on the Monday, but would rather not have. From memory I wasn't great Tue,but more 'normal' by Wed, though my normal would not impress most people!

Are you off for the weekend? I would expect you to be absolutely back to normal by Monday, but you might feel a little bit sun par over the eeekend.

Had my booster on Tuesday, arm hurt for a couple off days but not so bad today, just aching But I am so tired, getting enough sleep but have not got the energy to do anything so hope it wears off soon.

Clutterbugsmum · 28/10/2022 14:11

I had my Flu and Covid vaccine last Friday and felt rough/off for about 3/4 days.

I had the new Moderna one with the 2 versions of the virus.

This is first time I felt rough the other 3 vaccines were fine, I don't know if was because I had both at the same time.

PupInAPram · 28/10/2022 14:12

@SkylightSkylight yes, Pfizer this time. No work until Monday but I have a few things to get done this weekend.

Felt grim and tired this morning and my eyes feel very heavy but I've peeked up and managed to get some work done. Might need an early night !

Oblomov22 · 28/10/2022 14:19

Same. Had both yesterday. Wondering if I'll be ok. Feel ok so far.

ZimZamZoom · 28/10/2022 14:22

I've had three jabs and felt very ill for 48 hours after each one. Every time, it came on over the few hours after the jab and disappeared after 48 hours. Pfizer for all three.

RosalindsAFuckingNightmare · 28/10/2022 14:25

I had the moderna omicron vaccine and flu yesterday. I feel generally fine but both arms are aching and strangely my calves are too. I've kept the diary free for the weekend just in case.

verballyincompetent · 28/10/2022 14:27

About 48 hours, but I've felt dreadful after all 6 of mine

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 28/10/2022 15:03

48 hours of shivering and aching, I had flu and covid jabs together. My first 2 was Astra zenica, last 2 have been Moderna.

grapehyacinthisactuallyblue · 28/10/2022 15:06

I had both flu and covid shot together. Just sore arms, that was all.

Hoppinggreen · 28/10/2022 15:09

I had mine yesterday (Pfizer, number 4) and I feel quite rough.
Arm hurts, feel tired sick and dizzy and had cold sweats last night.
Hope it doesn’t last much longer

Summertimesunshineandfizz · 28/10/2022 15:16

I had a sore arm when I went to bed but it was fine by the next morning. Otherwise felt fine, as I did after the first 3. Hopefully you’ll feel better soon.

rubyslippers · 28/10/2022 15:17

Had both together Tuesday evening
felt a bit off on Wednesday day time and had a really horrible night
feeling ok ish now but arm is very sore where I had flu jab

Dahliasrule · 28/10/2022 15:21

Had mine yesterday. I had a headache this morning but okay with painkillers. Had to dose up again at midday. (Alternating paracetamol and codeine).

PupInAPram · 28/10/2022 15:24

Sounds like it could be anything between 1 and 3 days. Ah well, I got away scott free the last 3 times, so I guess I should count myself lucky.

I had the Pfizer on Monday, no ill effects other than a slightly sore arm for 2 days.

My DH had achy legs as well after he had his one as well.

SirB0bby · 29/10/2022 00:18

I had my 4th yesterday morning. My second Pfizer. No side effects with the first three but went to bed last night feeling dreadful and I've felt rough all day. I'm starting to feel better but I didn't feel as ill as this when I actually had Covid in the summer.

RosalindsAFuckingNightmare · 29/10/2022 00:44

My arms are still sore as hell and I've come up in a rash the side I had my flu jab and a huge angry red circle where I had my covid jab. Still, I'm grateful that is all it is.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 29/10/2022 00:46

I had mine 2 weeks ago (Pfizer)and had no after effects whatsoever. Not even a sore arm.

My first two shots were AZ, and I felt lousy after the 1st one but only for 24 hours. My booster last autumn was Pfizer and I was fine.

I did choose not to have the latest one at the same time as the flu jab, don't know if that made a difference.

Oblomov22 · 29/10/2022 08:33

I feel nothing, covid and flu same day. Was hoping to feel a tiny bit unwell, to show my body was fighting the 'mild germ' injected. But ziltch. I actually think that's not good.

Oblomov22 · 29/10/2022 08:35

I've felt nothing from last few vaccines either. And don't believe I've actually had covid. Can't remember the last time I was ill, years? Suppose I should be grateful but I'm actually a tiny bit concerned.

Sparklingbrook · 29/10/2022 08:43

I had Covid and flu jabs late on Thursday. Both sting going in, flu arm still quite painful.
Yesterday I had a spell of being boiling hot from the neck up and frozen from the neck down and a thumping headache.
Hoping to be a bit more normal today.
