Has anyone had covid 3+ times?

Just trying to prove a point to a relative, just asked them if they could drop me off a covid test as I’m not well, they refused because I have had covid 3 times already and can’t possibly have it again 🤔.

So has anyone had it 3 or more times? I had it back in April (my 3rd time) am fully vaxxed.

I have symptoms now, since Monday, and have done 4 tests, all negative. Symptoms still here though. Only had it once so far previously, as far as I know.

I've had it 3 times and am fully vaccinated. Once before vaccination and twice this year after the 3 jabs.

Me too

I am the same, I volunteered to take part in a study and did 36 PCR tests, all negative. Once that finished I decided there is no need to ever test again.
I don't test to see if I have a cold, hayfever ect.
No testing means I'll never need to worry or isolate or stay at home.

Well that's charming.

Sunshineguy · 10/12/2022 06:42

Covid is still killing people, making them disabled, harming every organ system and damaging immunity and people are still comparing it to hay fever or the common cold. I feel sorry for those of us who don't want to learn the hard way.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 10/12/2022 07:17

I had it for the third time last week. I tested because my chest was bad and I would’ve tried to get a GP appointment as I thought it might be a chest infection but obviously needed to check if it was Covid first. If it was just a cold/flu I probably wouldn’t have tested.

Dizzywizz · 10/12/2022 11:35

I’m on my 4th time! I do have meds though that suppress my immune system

mrsbitaly · 10/12/2022 11:41

Yep my dad 4 times. He doesn't even get out that much he's just been very unlucky.

MissTiggywinkles · 14/12/2022 09:31

On my third time now sigh
Just like a horrible cold for me really. I don’t get too worried about it these days. I had the flu last December which was HORRIFIC!!

Covidia · 14/12/2022 22:10

Had it 4 times, triggered autoimmune issues, I’ve been so ill. Absolutely awful.

Bestcatmum · 14/12/2022 22:12

Some of my NHS colleagues have had it 5 times.

ToooOldForThis · 14/12/2022 22:25

Just finished my 3rd round. I had to test for ages for work, and now less frequently for visiting relatives.
I've had all my jags, I don't know if they've made any difference, I've been pretty ill all 3 times.

Worriedmrs · 15/12/2022 11:06

Had it three times already. Third time symptoms were mild to begin with and tested negative for 7 days, probably low viral load. Then became positive and took a long while to recover.

oldtableleg · 15/12/2022 11:14

I've had it four times (just recovered from most recent) - all after vaccination (& booster). None particularly awful - first was most flu-like others more like a cold (headache/sore throat).

Whipmuncher · 15/12/2022 14:51

Me. Tested positive in the middle of October for the first time. Fairly mild but very nauseous and tired. Tested negative (twice) 2 consecutive days and was completely fine. 2 weeks later had cold symptoms and tested positive again. Now, a month later I am symptomatic and positive again! So 3 times in 2 months. No idea how or whether the first two could have been the same infection. Fed up of it now though.

wandared · 15/12/2022 14:54

Covid isn't something you become immune to if you have it enough. You can have it again and again and there are different strains. So yes, you could have it four times.

Wnikat · 15/12/2022 14:56

Yep, and worse every time.

AdoraBell · 15/12/2022 15:05

I’m certain I have, DH and DD2 too. 3 times had tests positive and in February 2020 we were rough with headaches, loss of smell and taste, raging sore throats, felt feverish but temperature never over 36 when checked. DD2 had had temperature of 32 while feeling burning up.

This was before the loss of taste and sore throat were listed of symptoms with Covid.

hugefanofcheese · 15/12/2022 15:14

Had it 3x and had 4x vaccines

Givemeallthegin8 · 15/12/2022 15:21

Fully vaccinated and had three times , dec 2021, July 22 and October 22. First time was awful ( only had one vaccine at that stage ) second and third time only minor symptoms for two days - unfortunately have now an ongoing medical issue from most recent two .
A friend of mines child has had it SIX times !

Chelbell2017 · 22/01/2023 13:40

Aardvvark · 23/01/2023 15:30
