If you’re +, HOW Did you test with an LFT?

I have read lots of posts of people saying when they’ve just swabbed their nose, they have tested negative, then done a new test and swabbed their throat too and tested positive.

If you’ve tested + recently, how did you test? Just nose? Just throat? Both?

First time - throat and nose. Since then just nose and still getting positive results!

Interesting... I am convinced I have had it earlier this month but tested negative twice. I did a RAT in my nose only. I felt rubbish but no sore throat nor cough. I am not convinced the tests were accurate.

Nose and throat. DH had tested positive and I had all the symptoms so I did double the recommended wiggling for both nose and throat and gave it an extra minute swirling in the tube.
Strong positive came up almost immediately.

Nose only massive positive immediately today after negative yesterday. I've had mild symptoms since Sunday morning and only tested because I am due to take DC to outpatient appointment on Thursday.

Just got over covid .. well I say just got over , I'm now negative but I'm left with some horrible after symptoms. So the day I had a sore throat I tested nose and throat ... pos . I got home and did a nose one, neg. ?!? So the next day I did a nose and it was positive straight away , nose stayed positive for 9 days I didn't do anymore throat ones as my throat was raw and I couldn't do it .

Both, I had it 2 weeks ago.

Nose only was strongly positive, bizzar virus wasn't what I expected at all. Had cold since that was more typical COVID symptoms.

On one occasion while down with it the other week, applying saliva straight to the test cassette. It worked for a big fat positive. Had done it the correct way the day before.

Nose only - positive 5 tests in a row (1st was very faint, subsequent days there's a strong line, immediately appearing).

I get them from work. Last batch were nose only. Current batch are for throat and nose.
Just curious, when posters say they do nose only, are they the ones that you're instructed to do throat as well?
I haven't ever tested positive my dd did, and for ten days it was nothing but a quick wiggle up her nose (did it herself- she's adult) and still positive. Ive often wondered if i havent teated positive because I'm not doing it properly but daughter's experience says otherwise. I have to do them 2x a week for work 😫

last year they well all nose only now all i have is both so i test both, no positives though

Just nose (and not for the full ten seconds) and it was positive almost immediately.

Quick wiggle up the nose was all I did, with one designed for nose only. The positive line appeared as the fluid reached it, even before the valid test line higher up.

Just curious, when posters say they do nose only, are they the ones that you're instructed to do throat as well

No, the ones I've used (from Boots) instruct nose only.
