Dont want a political debate but just curious if anyone hasnt had covid whether you've had the vaccines or not. I've had all vaccines but, as far as I'm aware, not had covid.

Not had covid, not vaccinated.
Haven't avoided going out anywhere but haven't been to any mass gatherings.
DF (fiancé) is vaccinated and hasn't had it either but it does seem to be doing the rounds at his work

Floralnomad · 04/07/2022 10:42

I’ve had all the vaccines offered and not had covid - nobody in our home has and we’ve been out and about like normal to shops , concerts , theatre etc .

PinkButtercups · 04/07/2022 10:44

Tested positive today. 2nd time in 6 months. Fully vaccinated but of course vaccinations don't stop you getting it.

SaltySalad · 04/07/2022 10:44

I have had the vaccines and never had COVID. No one in my family across four continents has had COVID.

ALittleBitofVitriol · 04/07/2022 10:50

Unvaxxed, haven't caught it. No one in my house has, to our knowledge (only dh is vaxxed). Almost everyone we know - vaccinated and not - has had it.

Deadringer · 04/07/2022 10:51

I am vaccinated but due my second booster I think, same with dh and 2 adult children. None of us has had covid yet but youngest dd12 (also vaccinated) was ill on Friday and tested positive so just a matter of time I think.

SparklingPeach · 04/07/2022 10:53

DD hasn't. She's fully vaccinated.

Deadringer · 04/07/2022 10:55

The annoying thing is dd has managed to avoid it until now despite most of her classmates and friends having it, some of them twice. She finished school last week so caught it right at the end.

blobby10 · 04/07/2022 10:56

Not had covid (to my knowledge) or any of the vaccines. I've not even had a cold for two years. I don't often use public transport and can't afford to fly anywhere for a holiday nor do I go out/mix with other people in close quarters as the past two years have brought on a fear of large crowds. not because I'm afraid of catching Covid but because I'm convinced I will be squashed!! Its a ridiculous fear to develop in your 50's but its all consuming right now.

Live in a cave....?

No, I just don't get into a flap about a relatively minor virus.

megletthesecond · 04/07/2022 11:31

Not had it yet and still test every week. Had all 3 vaccines. Still fairly careful and wear a mask in the office and shops. But I am back at quiet gym classes.
Avoided it when my eldest teen had it.

Samarie123 · 04/07/2022 11:37

Not been ill since it all started. Don't test, mask or sanitise. Been around lots of sick people!! Unjabbed.

Do you breathe?

Windypants21 · 04/07/2022 22:44

Thanks for the straw poll. I think the post covid stats will be interesting reading in reference to those that were exposed maybe multiple times and never seemingly caught it. Thoughts with those who lost loved ones during this pandemic whatever the reason it's been a hellish time for many.

XenoBitch · 04/07/2022 22:46

I am not vaccinated, and had managed to somehow not get Covid up until this past weekend.

steppemum · 04/07/2022 22:53

we are a family of 5, with younger and older teens.

One of my dds (dd1) has never had it, despite sharing a house with the rest of us. We have had covid in the house 3 times,
ds when dd1 was at home (we were on holiday)
dd2 and me
dh and dd2

dd1 is now double vaccinated, but as a teen wasn't that high up the list so she was unvaccinated when ds had it and only one jab when dd2 and I had it.

She has never had any symptoms, and their school has had low levels. She was testing weekly and nope, never had covid.

TheFormidableMrsC · 04/07/2022 23:01

I had the first two vaccines but decided against the booster. I was also having treatment for cancer during the first year of the pandemic so I was immune suppressed. Somehow I have avoided it despite having a primary aged child who tested positive and was glued to me at home. I'm sure it's only a matter of time but I am surprised I've escaped so far.

tobee · 04/07/2022 23:01

None of us 4 have had it. We're all adults. Dh is cev and still pretty much shielding. Dd and I shielding slightly less. Ds working in office, travelling tube, socialising etc.

I'm very tired today and just tested - negative for the moment.

I expect I've jinxed us now.

tobee · 04/07/2022 23:02

All of us vaxxed, Dh x 4

LonelyPlanetGirI · 04/07/2022 23:07

Five vaccinations, six covid infections.

I'm immunosuppressed though which means vaccines don't work quite as well, but that said I've never been ill enough to need hospital or anything.

Shakeitshakeitbaby · 04/07/2022 23:10

Fully vaccinated Inc booster. Had covid in Jan, very mild. Pretty sure I just had it again (several close contacts plus illness, prob worse than last time) but all lat flow tests were negative.

Michellebops · 04/07/2022 23:26

Fully vaccinated and only our 6 year old tested positive back in January

Dasher789 · 04/07/2022 23:54

Neither dh and I have had the covid vaccine. Dh has had covid twice and iv never had it. We tried to stay apart the first time he had it but after a few days it was proving difficult due to layout of our house. We assumed I'd catch it anyway so just started living as normal. Not sure why i didn't catch it from him. The first time he had it, he was unwell for 3 days and then perked up. Was fine within a week. The second time he caught it, was recently. He didn't display any symptoms, we only did the tests as a family member we had spent time with had been a covid close contact of someone else. The family member is vaccinated and tested negative but we can't think where else it could have come from.

MajorCarolDanvers · 04/07/2022 23:56

My DH and both children. All fully vaccinated and not had Covid as far as we know.

I'm fully vaccinated and have had it once.

bramblebucket · 05/07/2022 00:05

3 vaccs. not had it despite train/bus travel, hospital appointments (many).
