Still not had it, nor have my dd's.

DramaAlpaca · 28/04/2022 21:40

Neither me, DH or any of our three adult children have had it - until last week when DS1 tested positive. I was worried I'd get it as we'd spent a few hours together a few days before, but I've been testing negative.

Manekinek0 · 28/04/2022 21:42

No one in my family of 4. I worked in the community during the lockdowns, both DC were living at home and going to school/college, and I was in hospital at one point. All whilst unvaccinated. I can only assume at this point that we had it and were asymptomatic but it does still feel strange that none of us had any symptoms at all.

Justkeeppedaling · 28/04/2022 21:44

Me and DH haven't had it. Neither has DM nor DSis.

Createabitofuntruenews · 28/04/2022 21:45

Nobody in my family has had it and we live in different places from each other, the Midlands,Mid-Wales and Cornwall.

I felt sure I would get it after being in London, crammed on the tube, but no nothing.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/04/2022 21:51

dh And I haven’t had and tripled jabbed

my dad has now had it. 4 jabs. Is ok but very tired

I saw him before knew he had and didn’t get

dd 5 has. Obv she was cuddles and hugged and we didn’t get yet about half her class did get over the weeks

TheDogsMother · 28/04/2022 21:53

Neither me or DH.

RunAwayNow · 28/04/2022 22:15

None of my household or extended family has had it, despite having been close contacts of quite a few cases.

Whitacre · 28/04/2022 22:20

We’re not aware that any of us (family of 4) have either. DH and I work from home with occasional visits to our offices but DH is a scout leader so has been mixing with the scouts and leaders regularly and lots of them have had it. Ds2 has been at school (when open) and ds1 at university so potentially exposed plenty of times. So I’m a bit surprised we’ve none of us gone down with it.

I expect we’ll all get it next week now!

Iced · 28/04/2022 22:22

Family of four and none of us have had it!
(None of us are jabbed)

Innocenta · 28/04/2022 22:39

I haven't, but CEV and have shielded the whole time - only relaxing it a little bit now for some essential things.

rainbowandglitter · 28/04/2022 22:48

Nope we haven't.

MusingProperty · 29/04/2022 06:54

We are jabbed and don’t have kids in school. But we’ve been to Spain on holiday, dh’s uni age kids have had it, I work in an office where everyone else has had it, ditto DH.

we might both have been asymptomatic…but since lft were around have tested regularly as in laws both vulnerable.

🙋🏻‍♀️ I think I'm immune. I've been exposed so many times. Kids have had it. I use public transport every day. Worked all through lockdown 🤷🏻‍♀️

Topseyt123 · 29/04/2022 11:12

DH and I had dodged it completely for over two years, even when our youngest DD (DD3, then 19) got it more than once.

Then, last week, we both got it at once. DD1 and DD2 are the only ones in our family who, to their knowledge and ours, have still never had it.

There seems little rhyme or reason to it. DD1 and DD3 even shared DD3's car on the way back from a music festival last summer. That was when DD3 turned out to have picked up a heavy dose of Covid, yet DD1 still remained clear, lucky sod.

Triffid1 · 29/04/2022 11:20

DH has had it twice where we've been able to test and we're fairly certain we both had it at the beginning before testing was routine. So that's 3x for him, at least.

But I haven't had it again that I know of. Having said that, I'm a bit suspicious about a few times where I did test and it was negative - but wonder if I missed the window.

dumbledory · 02/05/2022 18:25

I've not, despite working in early years and a school throughout. DD has had had and shared a bed with me the entire time she was ill and nothing.

Have had antibody tests from the Zoe study to confirm.

Am sure it will catch me eventually, mind you.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 02/05/2022 18:26

I posted on a similar thread a month ago. 2 days later.,,,,,

OnceAgainWithFeeling · 02/05/2022 18:28

DD and DH both had it within last 4 weeks.

I still haven’t ever had it despite working on clinical sites throughout, travelling on the tube etc.

ChittyChittyBoomBoom · 02/05/2022 18:36

Ds and I haven’t, that we know of. This is despite me being working with small children in a school throughout and both dds having had it too.

SnowRoses · 02/05/2022 18:37

Hadnt seen family for months and as things were getting ‘better’ 8 family members decided to finally spend time together after more than a year of not seeing each other because of Covid and kids being in school etc

All tested Negative before meeting - Spent 2 days together
Bang- All 8 of us caught it

But we all luckily weren't to bad
considering me and partner were shielders , both CEV , i had my 4th jab only afew weeks before,
My sister was pregnant and my 88 year old nan was one of the 8

We were very lucky as i sadly know afew people who have died from it, including a family and 2 good friends

Jagsy · 02/05/2022 18:44

None of our family of 4 has had it

Libertaire · 02/05/2022 18:59

I have not knowingly had covid, and nor has DP. Partly, this was deliberate. As an asthmatic, I took covid very seriously from the start, and was already avoiding people as much as possible two weeks before the first lockdown. I continued to be ultra-cautious until I had my second vaccination.

It was only after my booster that I started living normally. Since then I have been taking minimal precautions but I still haven’t caught this highly contagious disease. No idea why. Perhaps I have had it asymptomatically, or maybe I’m immune. 🤷🏻‍♀️

moiraandthebebe · 02/05/2022 19:03

I've not had it. I've taken it upon myself to believe that I am naturally immune (😆) as everyone else in the family has had it at least once and DH had it terribly in the Spring of 2021 while everyone else was fine. I'm just waiting for it to catch me but I've been very lucky so far.

Remmy123 · 04/05/2022 13:19

I e not had it despite being exposed - kids coughing all over me with it etc...

I've not had the booster either
