Me and DH still not had it that we know of…

OP posts:
WelshMumof1 · 04/05/2022 13:28

My husband is a keyworker working front line with hundreds of people every day, and my son was in private nursery when it started and then up into reception last sept... none of us have had it somehow.

umpkj · 04/05/2022 14:04

I just got a call from moderna omicron vaccine study where you shouldn't have had covid last 90 days. I haven't had covid knowingly so far but I am ready to get either "old" moderna or moderna omicron specific one in trial to avoid getting my brains 20 years older if infected.

trevthecat · 04/05/2022 14:26

Dh and our eldest still haven't. They have been in the house with it 3 separate times! Dh is tested 3/4 times a week at work and eldest checks often (well did, we have managed to get him to stop now, asd and gets anxious) so we are pretty certain they haven't had it

Samarie123 · 06/05/2022 16:01

Me and DP haven't been ill for over 2 years. I did however have a cough early 2020 before this whole thing started. But not been ill since and not vaxxed either. My adult kids all vaxxed have had it, my son twice.

ScarlettSunset · 06/05/2022 18:38

I've not tested positive so far. Had a cold just after Easter 2020 that I guess COULD have been Covid but wasn't eligible for a test then and it's very possible it wasn't.
I was working from home and by myself a lot back then anyway. Now I am out a lot and commuting in packed trains etc. I suspect I'll get it eventually though

Notdoingthis · 08/05/2022 08:02

No. Or maybe. I don't care.
My dh and dc had it but I have never tested positive or had symptoms.
dh and dc were absolutely fine.

KangarooKenny · 08/05/2022 08:03

Me.

Chemenger · 08/05/2022 08:05

Recently had an event with extended family and only 2 out of around 20 had had it. One is a student the other a teacher.

beautifulworldwhereareyou · 08/05/2022 09:41

I’m a primary school teacher and at one point 17 children had it in my class, every day more went off positive. Had cases crop up here and there since. I tested every day throughout that time and still do regularly as I live with my parents. I also go out very regularly so I’m always socialising in busy enclosed spaces and even in clubs I’ve never got it. 🤷‍♀️

ShirleyJackson · 08/05/2022 09:43

DH and I have avoided it so far. I worked throughout the lockdowns, too, so I’ve hardly shut myself away.

Both (adult) DC had it - one of them twice.

DogsAndGin · 08/05/2022 09:43

DH has had it but I haven’t. Although saying that, LFTs are not great at picking it up. DSIL was testing negative on LFTs but positive on PCRs at the same time DH had it, and I wasn’t eligible for PCRs so who knows if I had it or not 🤷🏼‍♀️

wonderstuff · 08/05/2022 09:47

Dh had it last week, we only knew because we are being tested for the ONS survey, his only symptoms were being a bit snotty which we put down to hay fever and being quite tired, which we put down to jet lag. Dd also tested positive and again was just a bit tired. Both double vaxxed, dh has had booster, both were actually more poorly after the jab than with actual Covid.

ArtVandalay · 08/05/2022 10:17

Still not had it.

Was in London yesterday. Crowded train, several crowded tubes, busy bar and then really busy restaurant with tables very close to each other. If I'm going to get it, it will surely be now. But I doubt it.

crappens · 08/05/2022 15:07

Thought I'd not had it but then I got tested for natural immunity from previous infection - results back yesterday. Positive. Likely explains why I've felt like death since March. I've done hundreds of tests (LFTs routinely and PCRs whenever symptoms) over the pandemic and it never showed up. I know I was negative for natural infection at the end of last year as I had an antibody test then that was negative. Weird.

wonkylegs · 08/05/2022 17:06

Me & the kids - we test fairly regularly still and I wear a mask when out as I am CEV. I have had 4 jabs.
DH currently has it for the first time, as does every other senior dr in his department and is isolating from us, to be fair he's pretty knackered so has been sleeping most of the time.
We've tested every day since he's been positive and so far we're clear (6days)

TenoringBehind · 10/05/2022 23:35

Me, dh, dc2

Snowpatrolling · 10/05/2022 23:38

I’ve not had it nor has my oldest. My youngest had it for the first time last month!

Dodie66 · 10/05/2022 23:42

3 in our house and we’ve not had it.not had the vaccine either. I know quite a few people, who haven’t had it and haven’t had the vaccine

FromEden · 11/05/2022 22:46

DH is on his second bout with covid. I didn't get it the first time and so far I haven't this time either. He got vaccinated a few months after his first infection, I am not vaccinated and haven't been sick at during the entire pandemic

Perfect28 · 12/05/2022 08:39

Mmm seems There's some jumping to conclusions going on here. If you haven't had the vaccine are you likely to correlate with not regularly testing either. Not everyone but those who still haven't had the vaccine are likely vaccine/science skeptic?

SedentaryCat · 12/05/2022 08:46

Not had it yet. I've had some really rotten colds though but tested negative for Covid.

DD had it last November and had to isolate in her room. None of us caught it.

Suspect it's only a matter of time and can only hope that it's not too severe when we actually succomb.

Phos · 12/05/2022 08:51

I've never had it to my knowledge so if I have I was completely asymptomatic and same with my daughter. My fiancé tested positive in January and we didn't lock him away in a room like some people do, we carried on as normal in the house and neither me nor my daughter got it.

TBH if I got symptoms now I don't think I'd bother testing so I guess I'll never know.

Perfect28 · 12/05/2022 09:21

Phos up to one in three positive people are thought to be asymptomatic. Not testing is not the same as never having had covid, because as you say 'you would never know'.

FromEden · 12/05/2022 14:43

I'm unvaccinated and I do test. Tested negative twice this week since being exposed. Also had an antibody test and a t-cell test over the course of the pandemic, both negative. I'm not 'anti science' at all, despite choosing not to take a covid vaccine, imagine that!

Jenasaurus · 14/05/2022 03:06

I havent had it :)
