Positive and feeling worried…

I tested positive on Tuesday. I was able to WFH that day although I was a little dizzy.
Wednesday I had to call in sick, I was very dizzy, nauseous, huge headache and sinus pressure, teeth ringing, slight fever, sneezing etc.

I was still like this Thursday and yesterday but today it’s sort of dropped out of my sinuses and now my chest feels heavy and I’m aching. Cough is slightly chesty and I feel wired, like my heart is racing. It isn’t and I’ve checked my pulse and O2 which is 97-99% and pulse 80-85bpm.

I’m worried that this is the start of the chest issues and I’ll go downhill from here.

I’m 48, no underlying conditions but a bit overweight, triple jabbed.

Has anyone else had this chest pressure and slight discomfort- it feels achy like I’m very slight short of breath?

And as an aside, if we are able to catch this over and over how can we cope if we get it like this??? What happens with work and absence? Can’t keep missing work every few months 😞

I’m just feeling down and anxious, I can’t see how we are going to live with this, it’s not the mild illness it’s been made out to be.

Anyone else on around day 6 and swing from feeling absolutely normal to shaky and weak in a matter of hours?

I felt much better this morning when I woke up and finally felt on the mend. I did a little light housework then became shaky and odd feeling and has to sit down for a nap.

I had told my manager I would probably work from home again tomorrow, I’m not so sure I’ll be able to do it (full on job) now…

When will this end??

@Numbbumbni am day 6 and woke up today feeling so much better. Pottered around doing some washing and light housework and then felt so dizzy I couldn’t move for 2 hours.

@Trype how are you now?

Trype · 04/04/2022 19:03

Thanks Life,

I do feel a bit better, head is clearer but my chest feels heavy and aches. I still fall asleep after lunch, before I do I always feel weak and shaky which is guess is the fatigue.

My lateral flow today is an almost indiscernible shadow so I’m not sure why I still feel like I do, I would have thought as soon as the virus cleared the system you’d be back to normal 🤷‍♀️

Your symptoms sound exactly like mine, I had positive tests for 10 days and finally tested negative on Saturday. Today I'm still feeling awful although better than I was last week, I think the symptoms last a while longer than the actual positive test.

I'm full of cold and my sinuses hurt, I'm so fatigued I feel sick and I'm still napping during the afternoon when I can't do anything. My chest has been feeling heavy but it is a lot better this morning, I had the same concerns as you about this but it seems to have passed. I think we just have to wait this out, hopefully we'll be feeling better soon.

OP

You sound how I have been feeling with anxiety. I hope you feel better soon.

Chest feels so much better, but I still feel like my head is plugged into the mains socket (buzzing, feeling charged, ears ringing).

I've had some really odd auditory and visual flashes too - hard to describe without sounding totally unhinged, but what I thought was rapid banging on windows, bells being rung downstairs. Really bizarre. My temp was stupidly high 2 nights ago so perhaps it was that.

Even so, I feel tons better, yet still have that definite line.....
I'm day 4 but had symptoms days before then and I was neg each time.
