How have I escaped it?

DH, DD, DS all positive in the past ten days, 90% of my work colleagues, working as HCP and presuming I've had regular contact.
I just cannot understand how I've escaped. My 3rd booster was in September so I can presume my antibodies have waned.
I'd say I'm reasonably careful, PPE at work, masks on the tube but have been shopping, to pubs etc.
I almost wanted to get it done and dusted. Anyone else in the same boat?

No-one in my house has had it. It’s weird. Me and two teenagers. Me and the oldest are real social creatures too and have been to loads of gigs, parties and events as well as the usual work, college etc.
I am almost waiting for the inevitable too.

I've never had it either OP, despite countless close contacts (including DH having it over Christmas and I never bothered to isolate from him). And I'm definitely not careful any more!

Me too. People at work, have been close contact and nothing, not even a whiff it. Work throughout whilst having to put up with them messaging I miss working, I miss you all… oh just piss off

Me too. Work in school, DH had it at Christmas, we shared a bed. However, I have a runny nose and sneezing like crazy. LFT negative but close colleague just tested positive with same symptoms. Watch this space.

I will be seriously pissed off as it’s Easter holiday from school and everyone else got weeks off that I had to cover!!Angry

BigSandyBalls2015 · 04/04/2022 14:22

Same here, although I may have had it Xmas 2019 ... but surely that wouldn't protect me now?

DH had it, I still shared a bed. DD to and from uni and mixing with loads of people, other DD working out of the home with the general public throughout the epidemic.

God-daughter had it, and I shared a water bottle with her, without thinking (obv didn't know she had it then, tested positive the next day).

I've been in crowded pubs and restaurants, packed tube trains.

I'm worried typing this as we're away for Easter and I'm tempting fate! It is very random!

two jabs, no booster.

Nobody in my extended family has had it yet. Maybe we have Covid proof genes Grin

I’d take a bet on me getting it on my first big holiday in July. I usually only get sick when I’m not at work.
