How long did they last? How did covid progress for you. My temp was 39.9 earlier, 38.4 after paracetamol. My head is killing me. I've been vomiting, can't eat, am shivering, have weird sharp ovary pain, muscle aches, lungs feel bruised but can breathe fine. I can't believe I feel like this on day 1. Has anyone else recovered quickly? I am a lone parent with no help and a three year old to look after. My skin hurts. My eyes hurt. My jaw feels bruised. I've had two nosebleed. I have stabbing pains in my vagina. I'm just in pain all over and if it weren't covid I'd be going to hospital.

Get some Nightnurse and sleep as much as you can, when your not sleeping drink fluids. The more you rest and drink the better you will become.

I'm so sorry you're feeling so bad. I feel very similar (also triple jabbed) and I'm so poorly.

Excruciating headaches, sore throat, congestion and sinus pain, no temperature but shaking and limbs aching, and my skin hurts all over. Have 2 Covid positive children at home (4 and 1) a poorly DH who's been brilliant and both trying to wfh too. I'm on placement on my degree and being observed (via Teams) tomorrow so really don't want to ring in sick. I've came to bed crying while the 4yr old is on his tablet and DH is downstairs trying to get the baby to sleep so he can sit in the dark.

You really do sound as if you're suffering which I'm sorry about. Being a sick mummy is no fun as you can't rest as you've always got an eye on your lo. But don't worry most people say it's just a cold. Just a cold my arse.

I'm positive and have not felt this poorly in a long time. I really believe what's out there at the moment is not Omicron and a lot of people are suffering. I know it makes no difference but you are not alone, a lot of us feel poo at the moment.

Keep up the painkillers and immerse yourself in some trash TV in bed.

That was me Sunday! Almost every symptom identical other than nose bleeds, I now feel like I have a heavy cold with added dizziness and have lost my sense of smell completely. The sharp pains and pain in my bones/joints only lasted a 2/3 days and I found alternating paracetamol and ibuprofen helped. I still feel very tired and a bit achey but nowhere near the pain from the beginning of the week, I also had dreadful sweating and shivering in the night.
Interesting you also had ovarian pain, I did too and abdominal and around my pelvis and lower back but also had a heavy period at the same time (I'm very lucky...) so thought that was related but maybe not.

How are you today? Try and put the boyfriend issue to the back of your mind. Give yourself a break. Deal with it next week. Try a cold wet flannel on your head.

My temp has come down so body aches gone but shortness of breath has started now. Can't believe I've got it this badly whilst fully vaxxed and healthy! Unlucky huh

Really wish all the people spouting about ibuprofen on these threads would just stop. It happens daily. If you're not sure about something dont bloody post it. All it does is worry people who are already feeling like crap from illness.

ilovebagpuss · 18/03/2022 18:55

I hope you feel better soon. I had a lot of those symptoms but this was before vaccines. I had really painful skin it felt like sun burn for days. I took those cold and flu sachets you drink and they seemed they seemed help with a lot of the symptoms especially if taken before bed.

Neurodiversitydoctor · 18/03/2022 19:03

I'm day 4 (day 5 of symptoms). Days 1-3 we're the worst. Definately relate to the body aches.

Ormally · 18/03/2022 22:00

That was how it presented with me. The ovary pain was incredible, before the vomiting etc. came about, I was sent to be checked for an ectopic pregnancy, which it wasn't. I remember thinking very frightening (but calm, 'clear' thoughts) during night time.

I recovered well afterwards if that is a consolation, but it did take a while, that felt even longer, before truly turning a corner. Please keep drinking, and probably rehydrating with suitable solution like dioralyte. It will help.
