Should I be phoning into work sick

I came down with a sore throat yesterday. It wasn't even very sore. It was tender. That's all it was.

I had a close contact just at the end of last week and on Monday. I can only presume what I had is the onset of covid because I wasn't doing any other mixing in crowds and I wasn't around anyone else who has colds or who are sick. I am testing negative on lft. I don't have a fever. I can't recognise any other symptoms.

I have a blood pressure wrist band that tracks the blood pressure and for the first night ever it registered some higher readings over night. It's was always low except for last night it was raised during the night.

I can only presume this is the onset of covid but it's not registering on lft.

My throat is so much more sore today. My throat is not great.

Should I be phoning in sick and staying at home?

I'm too tired so I decided not to bother phoning and I just didn't show up. I will phone another day when I am up to it.

Confused This took a weirdly odd turn.
