I am in work with someone coughing. She had a light cold last week and had a faint positive over the weekend. She thinks her exposure was last week on Monday. So today is her 7th or 8th day and she's back to work but she's coughing. She came back to work because the antigen test showed up as a negative. She does do the antigen tests properly. She digs the pipe cleaner right on up her nose.

She's in shared spaces coughing all day.

I'm straved alive but she's in the kitchen and I can't get my lunch because she's coughing.

How are you going to cope in a few weeks OP? There won't be any testing even with symptoms so you won't know if someone has covid, a cold or something else. You are bound to get it at some point.

@SummersBreeze - when you say cold making your IBS worse do you mean cold temperature? That's my main trigger and I've never come across anyone else with that problem!

Yes the cold weather.

I remember going to my grandmothers funeral a few years ago. it was winter time and I was standing around a graveyard. My tummy got sortle and I needed the toilet but there was no toilet. I had to keep it in tip I got to the pub later but I was so sore and sick by that stage. I was wearing a jacket and I am overweight with a BMI of about 36 (I'm working on it and making progress reducing weight and BMI). So you would to think I have some insulation around my belly but the cold still aggravates my belly.

It's much better this winter by the way because I started wearing vests under my t-shirts so I rarely have my belly bare under clothes and I think that is helping me.

I suspect I had some years of undiagnosed IBS and I also suspect that contributed to diverticulosis.

Be care with constipation. Do not ever let yourself get constipated. Do everything that you can to prevent it.

I have a tickle at the back of my throat now and if this is it brewing or the start of a viral infection.

I really cannot tolerate sickness. I don't have time to be sick. I am not allowed to be sick. There will be someone having daggers for my back if I get sick.

I found a low grade fever too at 37.9. I don't know if that will be a viral infection brewing or if it's the belly acting up or both.
