Hello!

I've had a scanned the forum but can't see a similar question - apologies in advance if it gets asked a lot.

My DS x2 got Covid in Dec (early in Dec, so not sure if Omicron). Their dad has just tested positive - I'm curious if people have found those who had it in this wave are being reinfected?

I know it's like asking how long is a piece of string!

I had it in November and again in January

@Wedonttalkaboutboris

I’ve just caught it for the second time only 4 weeks apart. I am much more unwell this time around though- I’m wondering if my first positive was a false positive (I tested negative on day 5) or if it’s a different strain.
I’ve also just tested positive 4 weeks apart. I also feel worse this time despite having tonsillitis with it the first time. The first time the positives were faint and remained faint throughout. This time the positive showed up strong and clear as soon as it hit the test line! I have different symptoms mostly so I’m going with a different strain.

@fungussingstheblues
I have also had multiple negative lateral flows in between. I work in a school so I test regularly.

I rang 119 who told me not to take a pcr for my cold symptoms as ot would likely still be positive from when i had it mid jan and to just rely on the lft , which i have been doing daily all negative
