Are you sitting outside when meeting friends?

If a friend was coming to your house for a coffee and chat but announced on arrival they would only sit outside how would you feel? They are not CEV, double vax and awaiting booster, person the are visiting is triple vaxxed and negative LFT. They are not isolating, still working, shopping and fit and well.

This is in the UK.

@KosherDill well of course.

No and I’m losing sympathy with covid anxiety now tbh. In some situations I see it being used to excuse really quite controlling behaviour that people wouldn’t have tolerated before.

Obviously this doesn’t apply if there are specific health reasons that mean covid is still a significant threat (but post-vaccinations the number of people that applies has thankfully reduced a great deal) but that’s clearly not the case in the OP.

I’d say “thanks but no thanks”. I’m not willing to deal with this nonsense any longer as it impacts negatively on my mental health.

With restrictions lifted I would have expected a discussion beforehand, if the visitor didn’t want to come inside. It’s not like it’s summer and warm.

That said, I would be happy to meet someone outside. I’ve still not actually met up with anyone yet and part of that was waiting until I was 2 weeks after my booster. (Had three primary doses, so booster was only three weeks ago now. Couldn’t have had third primary or booster any earlier than I did.)

@BigSandyBalls2015

I’m wondering what they are waiting for …. if it’s a completely covid free country then they’ll be meeting up outside for years. Utter madness 🤦‍♀️
Reminds me of someone on Twitter the other day who likened wearing a mask to wearing underwear... We'll always wear underwear so what's so different about a mask!? They were American and are part of the "progressive" set that like to wear masks everywhere outside the house - Nuts.
