How many get covid after triple vaccines

Dodie66 · 04/02/2022 17:03

Just wondering if there are any figures on how many people get covid after having the 3 vaccines. I tried looking online but could find any statistics. I know a lot of people that have had it after being triple vaccinated

@Aishah231

Not very scientific I know but there must be loads. I work in an office with 10 people everyone has been triple jabbed 7 out of 10 have got covid again. I haven't been vaccinated and I haven't had it at all. Those saying it reduces the chances of dying need to realise that the really seriously ill people haven't been vaccinated due to medical reasons and therefore are more likely to die with covid if they get it. They also only test unvaccinated people in hospital for covid. Lies damn lies and statistics springs to mind.
Total bollocks. Every single patient who gets admitted to our hospital gets tested vaccinated or not. You talk of lies and misinformation- look closer to home.

Me, my partner, my 2 sons, my DD, my SIL, my 2 sisters in law, my DB, his wife, 8 of my nephews and nieces....I could go on....its been rife in NW....its been v mild though for all of us....we could have gone to work

Theunamedcat · 11/02/2022 19:24

Me! Literally tested positive the day after tested positive again recently Hmm

Nextlevelnonsense · 11/02/2022 19:29

Unvaccinated. Day 4 now.
Have worked as normal and tolerated rollerskating vaccinated kids.

Yeah, you are 100% correct, your statement is a total lie. Before accusing others of lying, please stop lying yourself.

My son had it after 3 jabs. He’s a student paramedic, but actually caught it when not at work, he had no symptoms at all, only knew he had it because they test very frequently.

Are you in a country where you do not have to isolate if you have tested positive?
marieantoinehairnet · 11/02/2022 19:49

Me, day 9 and whilst testing negative I have no energy and the worst cough in the world... this after 3 vaccinations... so hardly the breeze some would have you believe

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 11/02/2022 19:51

My mum is triple vaccinated and has been really ill with covid this week. Basically been in bed a week, felt like she had bad flu.

Whatdramain2022 · 11/02/2022 19:52

3X vax. Day 6 now. I have been quite bad. I'm older and think I'd have died if I hadn't had the jabs.

randomsabreuse · 11/02/2022 19:59

Lots of people I know who are triple vaccinated have had it. Had it worse than our (unvaccinated due to age) kids. Was like a lingering moderate flu for at least 2 of us (confined to bed or dragging self to sofa to watch kids) for a week ish. I had it pretty mildly (sore throat and sinus headache) but lost a lot of running fitness - like 2 minutes per mile worse plus reduced endurance...

No one felt like hospital would be necessary but equally it's not a "mild cold" you can ignore while getting on with life ..

Nextlevelnonsense · 11/02/2022 20:08

@ButWhereDidTheWindComeFrom - no. Am isolating as required

It was exactly like a mild cold for all my extended family...young and old....bar my SIL ...all the rest of us ( over 20 of us) could have gone to work/school no problem.....maybe there have been different strains of omicron...and they've been milder where I am
tintodeverano2 · 11/02/2022 22:27

Me! On day 9 now, first day I've been out of bed all day. Basically like the flu, but without the fever.

Alicenwonderland · 11/02/2022 22:36
@Alicenwonderland as someone who knows what proper tonsillitis is like, and who has covid right now you have my full and complete sympathy. That sounds totally rough Daffodil

If it's helpful the best thing for a sore throat it's kids Ibruprofen (reduces swelling. Check dosage but you need to increase to get an adult amount, but boy is it amazing)

Difflam throat spray. It actually works
Sorry! I only just saw this! Sadly I have coeliac disease and can't take ibuprofen. I was put on antibiotics but was extremely sick on them too. Thankfully I'm now on the mend but it's taken 2 1/2 weeks!

Millicent2022 · 12/02/2022 19:56
