For those who still watch him, and respect his dedication to bringing unbiased reports on the Covid struggle these past 2 years.

Info from the studies mentioned sound promising for us all!

Do you know anything about "functional neurological disorder"?

Functional Neurological Disorders (FND's) is the name given for symptoms in the body which appear to be caused by problems in the nervous system but which are not caused by a physical neurological disease or disorder. Health professionals sometimes call these disorders ‘medically unexplained’, psychosomatic or somatisation.

@hamstersarse

Where is it said that she had a psychological condition? Is that what you’ve surmised or is this “robust evidence”?
This has been explained to you before @hamstersarse on quite a few threads.

Her diagnosis is FND. This is a psychological disorder which manifests as physical neurological symptoms.

It is real and distressing, and dismissing it is incredibly offensive to the patients who suffer from it.

Here we are, same old rehashed claims @hamstersarse www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/4441153-15-yr-old-doesnt-want-the-vaccine?msgid=113879813#113879813

I disagree with posts being deleted but it's so frustating when posters repeat the same old claims when many others have spent considerable time explaining why it is not the case, and providing evidence and links to various sources.

And then a week later, new thread, same misinformation.

I’m asking where the statement / information / evidence is that Maddie de Garay has a psychological disorder unrelated to the vaccine, not what it is

@hamstersarse

I’m asking where the statement / information / evidence is that Maddie de Garay has a psychological disorder unrelated to the vaccine, not what it is
Because this is what she has been diagnosed with. This is what her parents reported, in a since deleted facebook post.

And sure, you can just argue that it's all a big cover up by Pfizer and she doesn't have FND, but vaccine related complications, but this is unlikely given that;

  1. the trials have been completed and the vaccine already approved
  2. billions of doses have been given
  3. of these billions, there has not been another case of these symptoms

@hamstersarse

I’m asking where the statement / information / evidence is that Maddie de Garay has a psychological disorder unrelated to the vaccine, not what it is
Well, from what I have read it sounds extremely unlikely to be a physical medical condition related to the vaccines, and even the family have said that this is the information they have been given by doctors.

www.foxnews.com/media/ohio-woman-daughter-covid-vaccine-reaction-wheelchair Fox News, sorry

Stephanie De Garay told "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Thursday that after reaching out to multiple physicians they claimed her daughter, Maddie De Garay, couldn’t have become gravely ill from the vaccine.

"The only diagnosis we've gotten for her is that it's conversion disorder or functional neurologic symptom disorder, ...anxiety"

and CNN on vaccine misinformation

www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/vaccine-misinformation-poised-spike-covid-shots-kids-roll-rcna4360

"The mother of the girl and the group behind the ad have not provided any evidence that the girl was diagnosed as harmed by a Covid-19 vaccine."

leafyygreens · 14/01/2022 21:22

"The only diagnosis we've gotten for her is that it's conversion disorder or functional neurologic symptom disorder, ...anxiety"

Yes and this is a huge part of the problem, her mother is referring to FND as "anxiety" when that is not what functional neurologic disorder is.

They need to stop being taken in by the anti-vaccine groups, who do not have her best interests at heart, and see a doctor who specialises in FND and can explain why pyschological support & other therapies will be beneficial.

So the answer to my question was no, you don’t know.

No one does, that’s my point I’ve made. To stop people mentioning it and accuse them of misinformation is misinformation.

Stop trying to control conversations. It’s infantile.

For the life of me I don't understand this post.

Her parents have reported that her diagnosis is FND.
