Hi everyone

I’m just wondering if anyone would consider booking a holiday abroad atm with covid uncertainty?
Thinking for Easter or summer half term would you do it??

I’m aware some countries have really strict covid policies - we have two small children so any recommendations would be fab :)

So far I've got a eurostar minibreak for February, which I'm planning to move to March as I think things will be generally easier. I'm looking at something else for May and September/October- ideally a week somewhere in Europe for each. I'm really waiting to see whether I can persaude others to join me for the May one. Everything I do will involve flights/trains which can be moved if necessary and renting apartments with flexible cancellation policies, so minimising the risk. If I get stuck abroad at any point, then so be it - I'm self-employed and would take a laptop with me. I only got as far as Paris for a long weekend last year, and I want to do better this year!

I’m about to book to visit relatives in the USA at Easter.

Also planning a family holiday to Spain in August, although haven’t booked yet.

We have had two on our own abroad (October 2020 and 2021) but wanted to take our daughter this month - we booked it but then had to rearrange as she wasn't double jabbed and anyone over 12 had to be for entry to the country we were going to. Now rearranged to April as she was going skiing with school, but again the double jab issue so that has also been cancelled. (Skiing was Canada and they wanted everyone over 12 to be double jabbed at least 8 weeks before the flight - a lot of kids on the trip wouldn't have been)

Yes we're booked to go away this summer, we went last summer and the summer before and have been abroad a couple of times in between that (although had one holiday we had to cancel when we were in lockdown).

I've already booked for Easter and will soon be booking Aug and Oct
