If you had Covid, what were your Symptoms

Hey all, just wondered what your symptoms were with Covid. I've woken up today with a dodgy stomach, a headache that is just not shifting, hot and cold sweats and nausea. I feel awful. I've ordered a home PCR as nearest testing site is 25miles away, no way I can drive there on my own feeling like this. But I just wondered does it match anyones symptoms, no idea what else is could be as I don't have a cold, so my throat is okay as is my nose. I am double vaxxed and booster.

Headache really bad, insomnia , loss of taste and smell then sleeping a lot.

This time the same but sneezing and bunged up nose . Haven't lost smell or taste yet but it's early days

TheDuckSaysMoo · 04/01/2022 12:19

I had all of those symptoms with covid. I hope you feel better soon.

Sparkle275 · 04/01/2022 13:48

My first symptom was a headache and my nose was tingling. Went to bed and the next morning felt like I was getting a bit of a cold and sneezing. Tested positive on a lateral flow which was later confirmed by PCR. Few days in lost all sense of smell and taste, aching, shivering, coughing and wheezing with no energy. Hope you feel better soon, make sure you get plenty of rest and plenty of fluids x

SarahBop · 04/01/2022 13:53

Runny nose and headache - continued working, as they weren't key symptoms to look for at the time - then after a few days I starting losing my taste. Then felt like crap, fluey, dizzy, headache, achey joints, even achey eye sockets, tiredness like I'd never felt before.
Breathless on simple exertion, like climbing the stairs and talking for a few minutes.

At no point did I have a cough or temperature.

Basically, if you feel anything other than 100% well, it's probably covid Grin

Trinacham · 04/01/2022 13:57

(unvaccinated) Started off feeling a bit achy as though I was coming down with something. Then runny nose, then sneezing. Think I remember having a slight cough eventually, but nothing much. Eventually lost my sense of taste and smell. No headaches and no fatigue

HerRoyalNotness · 04/01/2022 13:58

Just going through it now. Cough, lots of sneezing, runny nose, headache, tired, slight phlegm on chest after a couple of days. Haven’t lost taste or smell. H thought it can’t be covid, just a cold. I got tested and took 2 DC before school starts Today and came back positive. One child asymptomatic! Other child has very sore throat and diarrhoea started after a couple of days

SarahBop · 04/01/2022 14:14

Oh yes I forgot to add, nausea and upset stomach too. Seems I had a gastric strain and that was my main symptoms

anon12345678901 · 04/01/2022 17:14

Ahhh so there's definitely a possibility! Thank you all, sounds like a headache is a bit of a popular symptom, I'm hoping if it is Covid the symptoms don't get much worse. I've ordered a PCR for my child as they've been complaining of feeling sick and a headache too, just not to the extent as me!
Hopefully everyone who has it feels better soon and everyone whose got over it, doesn't get it again Thanks

Mild cold, headache, spaced out feeling, wiped out. Hope you are ok OP

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 04/01/2022 17:28

When my 10 year old had it he started with a dodgy tummy then headache before losing his sense of taste and smell

FunkyPhantom · 04/01/2022 17:35

Hot, then cold and shivery. Didn't have a cough or a runny nose. Didn't lose taste or smell and the symptoms slowed after 3/4 days.
Had done a lateral flow on day 1 which was negative, did another on day 4 which was positive so went for a PCR and that confirmed it. Self isolated for 10 days then had persistent headaches for around three weeks afterwards.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 04/01/2022 18:41

I had something that two years ago would have been 'an ordinary seasonal infection" No fever, no cough for the first days of my isolation after that: WFH and a lot of Duolingo and Netflix.

BogRollBOGOF · 04/01/2022 21:17

I've had it at Christmas (2 weeks post-booster).
Scratchy throat that was initially negative on day 1 then went a faint positive on day 2 and came up with a positive PCR. Followed a normal progression of a cold with sinus headaches. I had enough energy to do low impact exercise and gardening and tested clear on days 6&7.

Taking exercise more gently than usual still, but any infection can deplete energy for a while, so I'm being cautious, but I would with a standard cold although this may need a bit more patience than usual. I'm glad it's over with before my milage ramps up later this month.

lightnesspixie · 04/01/2022 21:25

I'm on day 6. Headache scratchy throat aches to back n limbs phlegmy cough two days in and very very fatigued sleeping lots. Still testing positive on day 6 and a positive pcr.

lightnesspixie · 04/01/2022 21:26

(And triple vaccinated)

MarisPiper92 · 04/01/2022 21:31

Woke up yesterday with the full of gamut of flu-ey symptoms: headache, fever, chills, muscle aches, dizziness, sore throat, runny nose. Positive LFT. Am feeling a bit better today and have sent off the PCR which I am fully expecting to be positive. Hope everyone feels better soon.

StressyWoman · 05/01/2022 02:01

I’ve had very similar symptoms and tested positive on the 31st. Stomach pains, diarrhoea, feeling nauseous and hot flushes. Also cannot sleep well, I had 3 nightmares last night.

StarryNightSky26 · 05/01/2022 02:10

DH and I both tested positive on PCR today - this is day 4.

So far on days 1 and 2:
DH had: a temperature, night sweats, lethargy, minor headache, slight breathlessness.
I had: an awful headache that painkillers didn't touch, a sore throat, diarrhoea, very sore sensitive skin (like when you have a fever although my temp hasn't actually been too high) and a slightly spaced-out, fuzzy hungover feel.

Day 3 most symptoms gone, just both tired. Day 4 today and we both feel fine...I'm hoping that's the end of it.

Both unvaccinated of that makes any difference.

Sweetpea1532 · 05/01/2022 02:14

My DSis,DM, and DIL all got it ( omicron?)2 days before Christmas...first thing was headache, then hoarseness the next day, but no other symptoms..on the 3rd day they all had a sore throat that felt like swallowing razor blades and congestion...all 3 tested positive at the GP. Oxygen levels were normal and no fever...my mum and DIL were double vaxxed but hadn't gotten the booster yet..my DSis has not been vaxxed at all. She didn't start feeling better until 9 days in...mum and Dil only felt bad for 6 days. Extreme fatigue seems to be the universal symptom.

Atmywitsend29 · 05/01/2022 02:43

Headache that just would not be shifted. No matter what pain killers I took, no matter what I did it just would not be touched. Never had a headache like that before in my life.
Had the need to keep popping my ears, like I had no pressure in my ears?
Fatigue.
Feeling a bit fuzzy in the head.
And weird dents in my nails?
And then after a few days I lost my sense of taste and had breathing problems.

I never had a cough. Never spiked a fever.

I feel it's worth mentioning, the headaches etc were in the first few days, I lost my taste and developed issues with my lungs around day 5/6, I was ill for more than 2 weeks, and this was pre-vaccine days.
ParadiseLaundry · 05/01/2022 03:44

Headache, sinus pain, dizziness, nausea, the runs, loss of taste and smell, tingly feeling in legs and a nasty viral rash.

Never had a temperature or cough.

Pirrip1868 · 05/01/2022 07:05

I tested positive in October and didn’t have any symptoms at all. It was caught by a random test.

Ki0612 · 05/01/2022 07:17

My first symtom was a temperature. This prompted me to do a lateral flow-positive - booked pcr. That night i was roasting and shivering. Pcr Positive in morning. Then had runny nose head ache with the fever, aches and pains. Didn't get cough or loss of smell til 5-7 days into it.

FindingMeno · 05/01/2022 07:18

Achey, very tired, then a bad cough.
