If you had Covid, what were your Symptoms

Hey all, just wondered what your symptoms were with Covid. I've woken up today with a dodgy stomach, a headache that is just not shifting, hot and cold sweats and nausea. I feel awful. I've ordered a home PCR as nearest testing site is 25miles away, no way I can drive there on my own feeling like this. But I just wondered does it match anyones symptoms, no idea what else is could be as I don't have a cold, so my throat is okay as is my nose. I am double vaxxed and booster.

First time (in the summer, so probably Delta) - temperature, loss of taste & smell, diarrhoea, headache and complete and utter exhaustion (was sleeping 20-22 hours a day).
Completely lost appetite.

Currently got it again, assume Omicron. Sore throat, sneezing, fuzzy head, body aches exhaustion (although not as bad as first time around), but also insomnia. Urgh. No temperature and appetite, stomach & taste/smell all fine.

JibbaJabber · 05/01/2022 09:08

Oh and cough has just started! Didn’t have that first time.

potoforchids · 05/01/2022 09:39

Few days before testing positive:

Sore throat
Runny nose
Sneezing

After testing positive on LF:

The above plus:
Coughing
Sore lower back
Insomnia
Tiredness

potoforchids · 05/01/2022 09:40

Oh forgot lost appetitive.

Exhausteddog · 05/01/2022 09:48

3 out of 4 of us tested positive at the end of the year.
DH - sore throat, cough, diahorrea, general aches, tiredness
DD - sore throat, cough, headache, earache, general aches
Me - sore throat, hoarse voice (but no cough) sneezing, headache.
However we all started to feel better on day 4/5.

Triple vaccinated- my symptoms were:
Tiredness
nausea
feeling hot and sweating with no temp
scratchy throat,
constant cough
It then moved into a headcold,
Blocked ears
nose felt like that same sensation when water goes up your nose when swimming that kind of burning?
Constant sneezing
Altered sense of taste
Chest tightness

Weird symptoms I had were
Strange heart palpitations- not like usual ones more like flutters than thuds- if that makes sense?
Burning sensation on the sides of my tongue
Little bumps on the palms of my hands

Cantthinkofausername2022 · 05/01/2022 10:02

Oh and muscle aches and back pain

Kids had slight sniffles and low grade temps other than that they were fine (thankfully)

Wallawallakoala · 05/01/2022 10:05

I've just got it for the second time despite being double vaxxed and it's much worse.

Started with fatigue, lower back pains, headache, bad sinuses then sore throat, sweats and shivers and whole body aches

Wallawallakoala · 05/01/2022 10:06

Definitely an upset stomach too actually

ethelredonagoodday · 05/01/2022 10:15

Day 3 for me. Very hoarse and sore throat, dull headache, occasional bouts of phlegmy coughing and sneezing.
Feel grim.

DrSophia · 05/01/2022 10:51

Started with scratchy throat, cough, sweats, freezing cold, upset stomach, vomiting, lower back pain, sneezing, breathing difficulties, muscle pain, green bloody phlegm, insomnia and enormously painful and sensitive skin.

By day 3 things had begun to improve in terms of the pain and feeling less bunged up.

Day 4 going backwards in terms of recovery.
Day 5 full cold, cough.

Does anyone know how long its all supposed to last for on average? Is there an average??

ParadiseLaundry · 05/01/2022 13:49

Day 4 going backwards in terms of recovery.Day 5 full cold, cough

Both DH and I noticed this. Some days you would feel pretty much ok and think you were getting better and then the next day you'd feel really grim. Unlike cold/flu type viruses where you seem to go downhill quite quickly, are ill for a bit then get better everyday. Day 9 was the worst for me. Hope you feel better soon Thanks

Oh gosh, so many that are positive atm or had it recently! I've sent off my PCR today, quite impressed it arrived next day tbf, not sure how long results will take. My headaches still there, like a dull ache and my nose is now congested, I'm getting out of break walking downstairs which is really strange for me, I'm having to take a couple of deep breaths so hoping that goes soon!
I hope everyone whose ill feels better asap, I'm forcing myself to eat fruit and veg to try and keep the body healthy in that way 😅 Missing exercising but no way I could go anywhere near any form of exercise atm, not until I'm back to full health!
WFH, rewatching Bones and sleeping when I can 😂

I have it at the moment, I'm on day 5.

Day 1-sore throat
Day 2-sore throat, but tired
Day 3-the worst day, cough, really tired, my bones really hurt -like even my elbows and toes hurt.
Day 4-bunged up nose, sneezy, no body aches anymore. But tired but not like the day before, cough.
Day 5- (today) runny nose, sneezy. Feels like I have a normal cold.

Partner had tested positive the day before me, he had a similar chain of symptoms although he had shivers on the first day and was really tired.

We've both had two vaccinations and I had a booster on 18th Dec.

spiderlight · 05/01/2022 14:20

Awful headache, sinus pain and totally blocked nose, extreme fatigue, weird high-pitched dry cough, complete loss of taste and smell, and one evening/night of fever a couple of days in. DH had it at the same time and had more throat/chest/cough symptoms. He didn't have the sinus/bunged up symptoms at all.

Ruralbliss · 05/01/2022 15:48

Initially Violent sneezing fits, insomnia (couldn't get to sleep before 3am), very slight tickly cough.

Then later blocked nose, headache, sore throat. Classic cold symptoms

No temperature, no 'persistent cough' etc.

Was gobsmacked when the two lines showed on LFT. Was testing daily in the run up to a three day get together in a shared house & although symptoms had started they read negative.
