Has anyone's periods been affected by taking the jab? Just got my first one and a couple of people shared that their periods were delayed by a week for several cycles.

OP posts:
Mulhollandmagoo · 03/01/2022 23:49

Yes, mine went haywire after my second AZ for a good 4 months, I had my booster last week and my next period is due in about 10 days time so we'll see what happens this time

GiveYourHeadAWobble · 03/01/2022 23:52

Yes. Mine became unpredictable after my second jab (Pfizer) and I had bleeding between cycles and a changed cycle length.
I was regular before.

Rosiestraws · 04/01/2022 00:06

no- not affected at all and I'm triple vaxxed

also have had regular ultrasounds as I'm going through fertility treatment and I'm ovulating as normal etc

sherbert82 · 04/01/2022 09:00

Period weren't affected but I had some bleeding in between for 3 consecutive months, got checked out and all ok but the consultant said there's a link to the vaccine

SmallElephant · 04/01/2022 09:09

No change after first two jabs (AZ)
Period was 2 weeks late after booster (Pfizer)

HelloKittyGirl · 04/01/2022 09:33

No, no effect. I ovulated a couple of days after it as usual (detected using OPKs).

4timesthefun · 04/01/2022 09:38

No impact after dose 1 (Pfizer). It completely disappeared after dose 2, and 5 months later I haven’t had another. I’m someone who gets it every 26 days, so I am loving this!

sleepwouldbenice · 04/01/2022 09:39

Well you aren't going to get many saying no by the nature of the question
No

roughmeasures · 04/01/2022 09:42

I’ve just listened to that episode - it’s incredibly interesting!

Mol1628 · 04/01/2022 09:43

Yes. Normally have 29 day cycles but had a 41 day one after my second jab. Could be coincidence though but it’s not happened since !

QueBarbaridad · 04/01/2022 09:58

No noticeable changes.

AyeEee123 · 04/01/2022 09:59

No, however the first one after I had Covid was incredibly heavy.

UniformSchmooniform · 04/01/2022 10:02

I got some quite heavy mid cycle spotting for the very first time during the month following my second Oxford. It was as if my period had come early then two days later it ceased again and then reappeared at the usual time. I'm not perimenopausal or anything so it was something unusual to me.

Ballstothewall · 04/01/2022 10:03

It was a week early after Pfizer booster. I'm sure it was affected by AZ 1&2 also but thanks to brain fog, I can't remember how!

BobbinThreadbare123 · 04/01/2022 10:04

Yep. Haywire. 2 AZ and Pfizer booster.

Milliepossum · 04/01/2022 10:09

I was happily having at least 6 months in between them easing into menopause, then after the second Pfizer jab it happened twice in a month. I don’t know if it’s the vaccine or if that was the last burst of activity, but I don’t want it to come back.

Longcovid21 · 04/01/2022 10:11

Covid itself has seemed to change my cycle. Period pains from ovulation time onwards. Weird.

VikingOnTheFridge · 04/01/2022 10:11

No, mine was normal.

SickAndTiredAgain · 04/01/2022 10:15

No, no change at all after either of the first doses and I had the booster in pregnancy.

Dollywilde · 04/01/2022 10:16

First vaccine I came on 10 days early. Second vaccine I got pregnant! We weren't trying so it was a bit of a surprise. I'm not claiming the two things are related though Grin

isittheholidaysyet · 04/01/2022 10:20

No. Mine was normal.
But friends have had problems.

StonewalledNameChange · 04/01/2022 10:26

Yes. First two jabs (pfizer) my textbook reliable period was a week late, back to normal the following month. Waiting to see whether moderna booster has the same effect - period due this week. Have never had anything knock my cycle out of whack before.

MarshaBradyo · 04/01/2022 10:29

No

LindaEllen · 04/01/2022 10:30

Had Moderna.
1st jab didn't affect it.
2nd jab it was 2 weeks late afterwards - I had the 2nd one a few days before ovulation whereas the 1st I was actually menstruating. So maybe that's why.
Got my booster on Monday so let's see how it affects things this time!

FluffytheGoldfish · 04/01/2022 11:46

Yes, had Pfizer for first 2 and Moderna for booster. Periods came 2 days after the vacation which was about a week early in each case and were much lighter than usual but about the usual length. I am peri menopausal and have been having dreadful flooding and clotting so the 3 months of light periods were a very nice side effect.
