Anyone with a cold that isn't Omicron?

Day 4 of headache, very slight sore throat and no other symptoms.
LFDs all negative, waiting for PCR, triple jabbed.
Have a very special occasion next Sunday and I'm willing a Negative Swab.
Could it be just a cold? The Zoe app seems to think it's unlikely.

Me I think. Last 3 days woken up with a headache, achy, zero energy and a kind of sicky feeling. Negative LFT yesterday, about to do another today.

4 days of slight sore throat and slight headache, general run down feeling. 6 negative LFTs, 1 negative PCR and a husband mirroring me but tested positive and in isolation!!

Both my mum and I had a killer cold that took out the majority of our November. We went over to see family, caught the cold that my nephew had gotten from nursery and passed to his parents and other auntie and as shielders who had had had only hay-fever to deal with in 2020 and 2021 up to that point we got it and then some from all four of them together and were out for most of the month.

Lft and pcrs all negative, just a horrific cold, I assume because our immune systems were still in bed after 2 years of rest (other than the jabs).

Could it be just a cold? The Zoe app seems to think it's unlikely.

It's not designed to diagnose a cold though, it thinks everything is covid and is gathering data. It's not a reliable way to tell if you have a cold.

I've had a cough for three weeks, negative PCR and numerous LFT's. I feel dreadful and am waking at night coughing really badly.

This is basically what I have been like. Fed up with it. Negative LFTs, negative PCR. I have just assumed it's a very bad cold. Still hacking away, always worse at night.

I find it odd the Zoe app says that 80+% of colds are actually Covid. Or maybe I just find it odd because I have young kids and we are in a perpetual cycle of one cold after another. If the vast majority of my colds were Covid then I’ve had Covid about 6 times since October alone.

The whole lot of us have had sore throat, aching, snotty, coughing, tired misery and all of us have been having repeated negative tests since DD first brought it home from school in mid December. I still have a cough and keep testing but still neg. Think it's just a vicious cold

Me. It's lasted three weeks now. Loads of LFTs, but I've virtually self-isolated anyway, just because the streaming nose and cough isn't a nice thing to impose on others, especially when it will probably worry them.

I had a bog standard cold over Christmas. Not COVID.

me with this - slight cold - have done LFTs every day since being 'out' in a potentially risky area. It's mostly sore throat and maybe cold symptoms but only past 1-2 days so have ramped up vit c and zinc and echinachea.

Horrible cough I had for a week now. Vomit inducing and my stomach muscles hurt so bad now. Never had a single positive LFT and the PCR done on Monday was negative, too.
Don’t think I ever had the cough that bad.

How can it be "unlikely" that its a cold. Those are all cold symptoms. All the colds that existed in 2019 are still around now.

To answer your question, my family all had a cold at the beginning of December. Cough, sort throat, bit of a headache. Not covid.

Me I've had cold symptoms on and off for about a month. Negative pcr and also negative lft's.

This as well my Ds 21 positive for covid on 8 December, me with a cold still ongoing he is fine.

It could be Omicron, but other colds and the like continue to exist.

How can it be "unlikely" that its a cold. Those are all cold symptoms. All the colds that existed in 2019 are still around now.

When I first saw the first number I was a bit confused. I’d like to know who all these people are who get colds so rarely that it’d be almost certainly Covid and I’d like some of their immune system!

This was me too. In the end I stuck the swab down my throat and it was positive

I've had a cold since mid-December. Countless LFTs, two PCRs in the past week as my six year old son has Covid. It's just a cold that's stuck in my sinuses and my ears! I'm praying I don't get my sons Covid on top of the cold though. I'm already really run down.

I'm wondering if those of us who have family members with Covid and we have colds...maybe they are asymptomatic AND have our cold?! I can't fathom it otherwise. How can I have the same symptoms and timeliness progression as DH who I soent time with while he was unknowingly pos and not have it?!!!

I'm just coming out of my second bad cold in 2 months, all tests negative, first cold had sore throat/cough/stuffy nose, this one i've had stuffy nose and cough, i have asthma so cough's hang around for ages
