If you've been in close contact with a confirmed positive how long after your exposure with them did you test positive on a lateral flow of at all?
We were with a close contact for 3 hours on Monday 27th so 5 days ago now and so far are still negative on our lateral flows.
I don't want to be optimistic but so far so good right?

My son has live with two positive people for the last week and is STILL testing negative

Dandelionsss · 01/01/2022 12:21

Day 3, but my kids didn't test positive until day 4/5

Neurodiversitydoctor · 01/01/2022 12:23

It was 4/5 days for Wuhan strain, 3/4 days for Delta, 2/3 days for Omicron.

LawnFever · 01/01/2022 12:24

I didn’t, negative LFT for 7 days and totally clear.

PJPatrol · 01/01/2022 12:25

One week for dd to catch it from a close contact.

Nine days for me to catch it from dh (or two weeks if I caught it from dd)
We had no contact with anyone else during this time.

HighlandCowbag · 01/01/2022 12:33

8 days from dh to me. It's the 13th day in our house and dd and ds still testing negative much to DS disgust as he fancies another week off school.

SmallestInTheClass · 01/01/2022 12:33

5-6 days

TrashPanda · 01/01/2022 12:37

Spent 6 hours with someone on 24th, they started with symptoms on 26th and got their positive result on 28th. DP had a positive LFT on 29th, mine was negative. His PCR on 30th was inconclusive and he has no symptoms. I started coughing on 30th, PCR tested 31st and got a positive result today.

Exhausteddog · 01/01/2022 12:41

DS had it in November and no one else in the house got it. (We lft every other day and all had 2 pcrs)
We had a close contact overnight on 27th Dec (approx 7pm - 4pm) as in staying in a relatives house. The relative tested positive on 28th and 3 of us (but not DS) tested positive on 31st.

SergeiL · 01/01/2022 12:43

Between 10 and 14 days depending on who I caught it from.

Oddbobbyboo · 01/01/2022 12:54

My daughter had it and the other 5 people in our house all tested negative. Test and trace said we’ll test positive day 5 if that helps. My daughter tested 5 days after her close contact.

KCee30 · 01/01/2022 13:47

Dp was 3/4 days after contact. I caught it off dp a week after he tested positive.

SkinPaperThin · 01/01/2022 15:57

We are having a month of covid at the moment. Dd1 became symptomatic on 13th Dec, me on 15th. Then Dd2 got it on 27th and today dp has tested positive. So 2 days between me and dd1. 12 days between me and dd2 and 5 days between Dd2 and dp. It's been a grim few weeks and it ain't over yet! Sad

lorisparkle · 01/01/2022 16:03

My DH had a positive LFT on the Monday then PCR on Tuesday.

DS3 positive LFT on Wednesday

DS2 positive LFT on Thursday

DS1 positive LFT on Friday

My positive LFT on Saturday

DH had taken himself to his room and everyone kept themselves to themselves. I was the one delivering food to everyone and was the last to get it!

rhowton · 01/01/2022 16:15

Spent all Saturday with person and tested positive early Monday.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 01/01/2022 16:22

I didn't. Didn't catch it.

Isolated101 · 01/01/2022 16:24

Group of 15, most tested positive day 3, some day 4, a couple still negative today (day 7)

My2favboys · 01/01/2022 16:26

@Neurodiversitydoctor

It was 4/5 days for Wuhan strain, 3/4 days for Delta, 2/3 days for Omicron.
oh god @Neurodiversitydoctor you've not had much luck.
Livefortherain · 01/01/2022 16:29

4 days

TinyRebel · 01/01/2022 16:33

My son got it (7 years old and I'm hardly going to deny him a cuddle). No other family member got it - 2 vaccinated adults and another primary aged child. Absolutely no chance of isolating in a 1 bathroom 3 bed semi either.
1 adult and one child testing negative every day for school and work.

pollyparrot45 · 01/01/2022 16:37

Day 5

Lemons1571 · 01/01/2022 16:38

4 days. In fact it was 96 hours dead on!

Norugratsatall · 01/01/2022 16:39

12 days for Wuhan strain back in March 2020. DD1 positive Xmas day this year (assume Omicron as she lives in London) so far still negative!

Lessofallthisunpleasantness · 01/01/2022 17:00

Had it just before Xmas. 3 days for positive PCR, took 5 days for the LFT to go positive though.
