12 year old tested positive today and really struggling already. Reassurance please.

Tested positive this morning. Was breathless coming down the stairs,has spent most of the day on the couch or in bed. Has eaten when I brought him things. Temp of 39 so have just given ibuprofen before bed. He feels sick and says he has a headache - he's usually so full of energy,I've never seen him like this. Never thought it would hit him this hard, especially the first day.

I'll be sleeping in his room tonight on a camp bed but can anybody reassure me.

My 11 year old has tested positive on a lateral flow this morning. He felt ill yesterday but tested negative but he was quite ill in the night. Had a bad headache and felt sick and kept saying he was freezing but he felt very warm. His temperature was normal though. He was also saying his chest was hurting him and his legs hurt. He was sick a few times this morning but he is feeling a bit better now.

so glad to hear he is feeling better. It does indeed seem to be hitting a lot of children hard, but also thankfully mostly seems to resolve fairly quickly. I hope he continues with a good recovery. (as I said, by day 3 my ds was his normal annoying self again - thankfully!)
