How carefully is he isolating from you, if at all? I know households who have managed to contain it and avoid spread within the household with very thorough isolation procedures.

I am currently on day 4 post pos LFT (day 3 in terms of isolation as positive test day/first day of symptoms is day 0). I caught it from my teen 4 days after her LFT and isolation, we obviously weren’t thorough enough. My DH is still returning neg LFTs and had a neg PCR on 27th.

Teen & I have had 2 doses of vax. DH has had 2 doses + booster within 4wks.

I tested positive on a lateral on 23rd Dec. Pcr confirmed 25th. Husband tested positive on a lateral this morning. So far, the kids have avoided it.

stargirl1701 · 30/12/2021 16:23

DH tested positive with PCR on Christmas Eve. I've been doing LFTs since then and still negative.

We are in Scotland so we have to isolate for the 10 days regardless.

hayley013 · 30/12/2021 16:27

My DD tested positive on 19th, we didn't isolate her as she's only 6, went about the house as normal and no one else has caught it in the house

hayley013 · 30/12/2021 16:27

Didn't isolate her to her room I mean

SisterAgatha · 30/12/2021 16:27

I don’t know what’s going on here but:

exposure 18th Dec
DC1 symptoms 21st
DC1 pos test 23rd
DH symptoms 26th
DH pos test 27th
DC2 symptoms 27th, can’t get a positive out of him but he absolutely has it.
DC3 has a runny nose today.

I have been negative throughout.

KCee30 · 30/12/2021 16:41

I'm unsure if omicron but we all had covid before Christmas so good chance it was.

Dp tested positive 3/4 days after contact with a colleague with covid.

He didn't isolate in one room and he was mainly asymptomatic, we have a small house and children with sen.

Ds caught it 4 days after Dp.

I caught it 7 days after Dp, a few days after ds.

Dd caught it 9 days after Dp and a few days after me.

It took nearly 3 weeks for us all to finish isolating.

Queenoftheashes · 30/12/2021 16:51

I got it after a week on PCR. 9 days for lft.

Queenoftheashes · 30/12/2021 16:51

That’s a week from DP positive lft

4intheCorner · 30/12/2021 16:58

2 days. Day 1 LFT was negative, assumed cold but he did where a mask and we kept our distance. Positive LFT on day 2 and we fully isolated from each other, then I started symptoms on his day 3. So 2 days from DH symptoms until I got symptoms, and 3 days from DH symptoms until DC symptoms

KL92xxxx · 30/12/2021 17:00

I think my little boy picked it up at nursery on 16th/17th, he got a ‘cold’ on 20th, I got the cold on 23rd and tested positive on 25th.

Partner has never tested positive, he felt a bit ropey around 22nd but that’s it. Toddler actually never tested positive either but suspect we tested too late as we thought just a cold until I tested positive.

So yeah, not long at all!

Graciemacey · 30/12/2021 17:46

Youngest child tested positive Christmas Day. Eldest tested positive 27th. I tested positive 29th (I’m fully vaccinated and boosted). Husband (also boosted) is still clear.
My eldest has had covid twice in 12 weeks (with positive PCRs). She’s been a lot sicker this time with high fever, nasty headache and crushing fatigue.

NelliePig · 30/12/2021 18:57

Day 12 first positive LFT x

Bewildered2021 · 30/12/2021 19:13

2 days

Localher0 · 30/12/2021 19:20

DD & I had same symptoms 23rd. LFTs negative but got PCR as we're hosting Xmas. I was positive she was negative. Her symptoms persisted and she retested on 26 - PCR positive. Son and husband both negative so far. She has now had 2 neg LFTs 24 hours apart so is out of isolation. I am not so lucky. In terms of isolation at home - we haven't been very good......

McFarts · 30/12/2021 19:27

DD1 positive 16th Dec
DS positive 21st
DH positive 22nd
DD2 positive 25th

I'm still negative, DCs are all double vaccinated, DH and I have both had our booster as well.

Anawi · 30/12/2021 19:35

Eldest (11) tested positive Christmas day morning, all had PCR, only she was positive.
27th - I got positive LFT
28th - OH and 8yr positive LFT
All now confirmed by PCR

Only the 4 year old has so far not tested positive. But we think she has had it just not showed up as she has complained her head and throat hurt the last few days which are symptoms we have all had.

SmallestInTheClass · 30/12/2021 19:39

I got it five days after DD had symptoms and positive test, it's now seven days and DH and my other DD haven't got it yet. We've all been in the same house and not distancing throughout.

TerraNovaTwo · 30/12/2021 19:41

48 hours. Triple boosted. This is the second time in 12 months that I've caught it and it is not mild.

Campfirewood · 30/12/2021 19:43

I got it 5 days after DH. I thought I had got away with it!

VAM24 · 30/12/2021 19:48

Exposed on 24th. LFT only went positive today.

rainbowraindrop · 30/12/2021 20:08

My husband went out on 18th, symptoms started evening of 21st, positive LFT 22.
I started with symptoms Christmas Day night, negative LFT Christmas Day and Boxing Day, but got a positive PCR taken on Boxing Day.

Rainyrain · 30/12/2021 20:19

Teenage dd had symptoms 23 dec, had pcr 24dec, got positive pcr result and first positive on an lft 25 dec. Me, dh and dd9 have had negative lft’s everyday since. We sent off pcr yesterday, still waiting on results. Dd9 is poorly, really bad cough, slightly raised temp and very tired but as all the lft’s are negative I assume she’s picked up something else. We haven’t isolated within the house at all, eaten meals together and spent time together as normal over Christmas.

CovidForChristmas · 30/12/2021 20:38

6 days here.

autieok · 30/12/2021 23:18

Dd on 23rd everyone else still negative
