Partner has tested positive on a lateral flow today, all plans out the window. No Xmas food in and my god I am bored already! On a good note kids are happy playing with their toys.

DD(22) tested positive on LFT this aft. All further xmas celebrations cancelled.
This is her second positive in 6 months.
She's double-jabbed and is refusing to get a PCR as she knows what to do and can't bear being called by T&T every hour of the day whilst she's trying to get some sleep.

My 13 year old tested positive at midday….when I was preparing lunch for 12 for 2pm ..all plans cancelled, food shipped out and pcr results pending ….
Exactly this for us but we had just finished X-MAS lunch just our household. ARGGGG! At least we opened the pressie and had lunch. This is it until 2022.

@SheWoreYellow I didn’t give him to him - I haven’t been anywhere except the park (jogging in the early evening). I also have a weird rare immune disorder, which means I get vague immune symptoms even with viruses I don’t develop, e.g. my DS’ chicken pox. I was ‘flaring’ last week during my period and took a couple of LFTs, which were negative. Since then, I’ve flared again - so, I was exposed to a virus in the last 48 hours - but, again, negative LFT so far.

My older DS has a runny nose and there was an outbreak at his school just before he finished school a week last Wednesday. So, I did wonder if he’s had an asymptomatic case and given it to DH. We gave him a couple of LFT (negative) after he finished school because we thought he was going to be visiting grandparents, but they were worried about isolating over Xmas and cancelled the trip. After that, we stopped testing him. It does seem a long time to pass it on though…
