Are you concerned about omicron risk if you've just had covid.

We've all just had covid. I assumed delta given our symptoms and area of the country where there's not many cases. Symptoms have been relatively mild but the isolation has been hell. Two dc with sen has been draining.

Would you be concerned about omicron after just getting covid? Because it's being said that delta isn't protecting against omicron?

I know omicron is said to be mild but I really don't want to go through all this again! 😪

A relative of mine we are meant to be seeing over Christmas has been exposed. She lives in london but visiting here. she's a teacher and over half her class had covid last week, she's fine so far and by the time we see her it's been a week past exposure but I'm still concerned.

My in laws - her parents are also anti covid people, not really believing in the virus. Mil has also told us she had a cough and didn't bother with a test because she didn't have w fever 😷 I know non covid coughs are rife too but you still need to test! None of us had a fever with covid.

Isolating for 10 days with symptoms that feels like a sucks though 😪 tbf our symptoms were cold like so maybe we did have omicron!

My family all tested positive 4 weeks ago.

I’m with you OP, can’t face the isolation again - was hard work!

I can’t find any real data on reinfection risk in first month post infection. I guess they just don’t know yet but wish it was available so I could prepare myself (we live in London and have school age kids so feels inevitable).
