Thank you for everything you do.

It is much appreciated.

Have a good break (if you can) and recharge your batteries.

Take care x

@Doublevodka

Thank you OP. I’m a NHS nurse, I have tested positive today, also had Covid in 2020. I was feeling very sorry for myself today, this post has made me very emotional, but also smile.
Oh no! Sending NHS hugs. I actually think it's probably inevitable most of us will get it again. Thank you OP.

Thank you here . Bless you.

Thank you from a jaded SEN TA who is feeling v tired and emotional at the end of this term! The students and my amazing colleagues have made it worth carrying on.

A big thank you to all the NHS staff and social care workers for all that you do.

Merry Christmas!

Thank you OP! I'm (mostly) a supply teacher, so I've been in a LOT of demand through November and December with lots of teachers off sick. Dh is a teacher too. I'm pretty sure I had covid back at the beginning of the first lockdown, but we've avoided catching it since.

Happy Christmas to you too, and to all on the thread!

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 23/12/2021 18:30

Thank you OP. I'm an infant school teacher and this term has been absolutely brutal. A lot of parents don't seem to care how stressful it is keeping schools open for their children or how overstretched we are. So I appreciate your kind words. Merry Christmas 🎅

Tillyvonpantsalo · 23/12/2021 18:40

Thank you OP. I work in a school and also want to thank the children, they've been through so much and have so little say in all the events thrust upon them. I feel sorry for them to be under so much pressure to 'catch up.'

My DC is a doctor and last Christmas they had just started at a new hospital in a new area. They were fortunate enough to have Xmas off and were absolutely crushed when the late in the day announcement was made to lock down our area
They live a flight away and were unable to come home so spent the Xmas day alone. So, thank you for thanking them too.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 23/12/2021 18:47

Thank you.

I’m feeling fortunate that I’ve not been redeployed again yet (NHS) and I’m supposed to be off work now until next Wednesday (combination of annual leave and the way that Christmas falls this year makes a really nice break) however in response to an email sent to all staff today I’ve contacted workforce planning with my personal contact details offering to step in wherever I I’m needed over the next few days and weeks. Got to say I’m slightly nervous about what might happen but I can’t not offer when some services are so stretched.

That's so very generous

That’s very kind, I’m a nurse (paeds) working Boxing Day and usually we make it as lovely as we can for the kids but they all want to go home, hoping for a nice shift and thank you for your lovely message. Big thank you to all the teachers and t staff my son has needed extra support since returning in august and his lovely teacher and assistant have been wonderful.

herecomesthsun · 23/12/2021 19:53

Thinking also of the people who are responsible for increasing PCR testing from 400k to 1.4 million

And the Government scientific advisors (bet they don't read this though Wink)

Massive thank you to our wonderful teachers/TAs and school staff you have all been wonderful and have been a place of calm in a utter storm. I'll be forever grateful.
As for HCPs, I don't know how you do it. Thank you ❤️

Mammyloveswine · 23/12/2021 22:23

As a teacher.. thank you!! ❤️ merry Christmas 🎄 and a very happy new year

Rupertpenrysmistress · 23/12/2021 22:45

Aww this is lovely. I am working tomorrow and have Christmas off this year. I am worried what next year will bring to us in the NHS.

I would like to add my thanks to everyone who has worked throughout supporting our children, emptying our bins and delivering our shopping and many more besides. Thank you to everyone who has been vaccinated and follow the rules, it really is appreciated by everyone in the NHS.

Merry Christmas here is to a better 2022 🎄.
