I have had wonderful care from our overstretched GPs and my child has had great care from the local Regional centre for his condition.

Too DS for his second jab yesterday. There was only one vaccinator. The GP on duty was leaving to go home, saw the queue and signed back on again. Had been working from.8am. Stayed for the 5-8pm also . Kindness 🥰

Thank you, but can I also add all the others that work in hospitals and GPs and schools (cleaners, porters, maintenance team, cooks, Receptionists, Practice Managers)
and
emergency services, lorry drivers, supermarket workers, chemists,
and
those who have kept utilities, water, broadband running
and
childcare providers, carers (booth who go to people's homes and who work in care homes)
and
anyone else who isn't in the public eye, who has just kept going

I have mostly been very impressed by people's kindness to each other during the pandemic.

I really agree re the delivery guys as well. Parcel delivery has kept the presents delivered this Christmas even when we had covid in the house, and I was more comfortable sending presents from on line than plague presents from home.

Our hospital pharmacy delivered my son's meds to the door to make sure he would have them all through the Christmas holiday without interruption.

And our village greengrocer set up a box delivery service, which has been wonderful.

I’m a primary teacher so thank you.

From me, a huge thanks to childcare workers. Never once have DD1’s nursery not picked her up/cuddled her/cleaned her or helped her get changed when needed. They’ve been coughed and sneezed on, are paid dreadfully and yet have made her feel so well cared for.

Can I say thank you to my colleagues in the substance misuse team with me, we've carried each other through this awful time, supporting some of the most vulnerable in society. It's been a rough 2 years but we've managed.

My eldest DS is a teacher. Currently visiting me and being thoroughly spoiled. It's been a tough year for teachers.

Thanks to the fantastic staff who looked after me in hospital this year.

I am also very grateful to delivery drivers from Tesco and all the others who enabled me to shop while I was shielding.

Thank you OP. I’m a NHS nurse, I have tested positive today, also had Covid in 2020. I was feeling very sorry for myself today, this post has made me very emotional, but also smile.
