Ordering postal LFTs

Hartleyhare1206 · 21/12/2021 09:42

Hi

I’ve ordered boxes of LFTs on line as all face to face collection points near me have run out.

I haven’t received any yet despite waiting the 3 days for delivery. Haven’t had the message updating me on my order/delivery/shipping/tracking details as promised for any of my orders.
Government wants us to test before socialising but how the hell do you manage that when you can’t get any sodding tests from anywhere?!!

The website has allowed me to place the orders and hasn’t stated it isn’t taking new orders or warned of delays due to supply/delivery issues - I know this was a problem a week or so back, but it’s accepting the orders now.

Has anyone else had their orders ok? I’m 5 days past ordering on what should be a 3 day turnaround and stressed I can’t test before seeing people. Can’t do the responsible thing if I can’t get any tests!

Thanks!

My order was 48 hours. Really quick

BigWoollyJumpers · 21/12/2021 13:09

I have ordered a couple of times in the last week or so. Randomly got on website, and orders available. Both orders came in 48 hours. I also did a collection order, and collected from local pharmacy same day.

We have a full house over xmas, as both DD's back, and they were unable to get any locally to them, and both been exposed to Covid+ people recently.

So I think it is very area dependent.

I ordered on Saturday and received them on Monday. However, I didn't get any of the usual tracking information, so it seems like the Royal Mail are barely keeping their heads above water and are skipping some of the administration to speed things through.

You can check how Royal Mail are doing via personal.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12556 and look at both the 'Movement of Mail' (sorting offices and collections from post boxes) and 'Deliveries Today' links to see if you're in a affected area.

I’ve ordered some every 24 hours (DH testing positive currently so there’s 4 of us that need to test daily) and they’ve always come within 2 days.

I ordered some Monday just arrived today, was getting concerned as none in any of the local chemist as we have a positive case in the house.

WalkingOnSonshine · 22/12/2021 15:11

7 days and counting. The local chemists are still out.

Not quite sure what we’re supposed to do.

RoseAndRose · 22/12/2021 15:22

I ordered some today, but with the Christmas post, goodness only knows when they'll turn up.

Hartleyhare1206 · 22/12/2021 16:33

And just in the Nick of time as BIL and SIL have tested positive and PILs have symptoms…

Local pharmacies out of stock here too. Also finding it hard to order online but managed this morning so I hope they arrive quickly!

jessyjo2 · 22/12/2021 16:48

I ordered yesterday afternoon, came today. And thats to NI which normally takes forever for most things!

Cookerhood · 22/12/2021 16:53

I've had some arrive this week. We are all testing quite often for work but if anyone tests positive we will need 35 tests over 7 days (plus the "test to release" on day 6 & 7). We don't have 35 tests & are unlikely to get another delivery before Christmas, I wouldn't have thought.

Where are you all? Is this a regional issue? I’m in Wales and ordered some on Sunday that arrived on Monday morning, the blue NHS ones.
