Omicron? Why are we calling it omnicron?

Is it me or are people adding an 'n'? Because it's easier to say?

I'm glad it's not just me! I keep on wanting to say "Omnicron" and have to concentrate to get it right...

The reporter on the local news is now saying "Omricron"

It's always been omnicron to me. I've always thought it sounds like a decepticon from transformers.

DS2 thought it was an irresponsible, dramatic, doom laden name in the Decepticon vein, having not heard of the Greek letter omicron.

He was relieved to find it hadn't actually been deliberately been named 'omnicron the planet killer'.

I thought it was omnicron for a while. It sounds better.
