No explanation needed. Just a yes or no.

For me it's a hard NO.

Because they’re all foolish that’s why. Critical thinking is way beyond their comprehension. MN is an echo chamber of non compliance. Clearly someone’s worried because they’ve rallied their troops to flood MN with these I won’t comply tantrums

And you hate feeling so powerless, don't you?

Thewiseoneincognito · 19/12/2021 20:16

@FourTeaFallOut

Rallied troops, really? Because I'm seeing lots of longstanding, formerly compliant posters willing to defy new restrictions.
Funny that, because I’m seeing the same names over and over on every one of these threads, many long standing but also not exactly pro restrictions to begin with.

Can sense the waaaah from here.

As I’m very pro-restrictions to keep cases down, I don’t think I’ve got too much to be concerned about do you?
cleaning247 · 19/12/2021 20:22

No

WeeHaggisFace · 19/12/2021 20:24

I complied to the letter from March until Jan when I had to go into my parents to help as my mum was recovering from major surgery. I didn't stop going once she was recovered because none of us were going anywhere and that's still the case now.

What would be the point in us stopping seeing one another when we pose no risk to each other?

FourTeaFallOut · 19/12/2021 20:24

Well, I've kept my same name through this entire shit show. I was very pro-restrictions for a long time and I'm just fucking spent with it all now.

Well, as there’ll be much less compliance when it comes to the imminent circuit break and the ban on indoor mixing, I disagree.

BlueShirtGirl · 19/12/2021 20:25

Noooooooooooooooo!

LockdownCheeseToastie · 19/12/2021 20:25

Nice to know my life is at risk from those saying no ffs.

heidihigh · 19/12/2021 20:27

No. Everyone hunkered down waiting for vaccines which 90% of people have now had. We are in this situation again. Enough is enough, life has been on hold for too long. Get your jabs and carry on!

BonnesVacances · 19/12/2021 20:30

It would be interesting to do an experiment. An island for those who are saying yes and one for those saying no. I don't want to share this one with people whose idea of society is so very different to mine and which puts others at risk. But I'd be more than happy for them to have a place where they can carry on as they want to with no regard for others.

Your life is not at risk from covid alone. Your chance of dying from covid as a normal healthy person is 0.1%. Higher if you are CV but it would also be higher from flu or any other winter viruses that do the rounds each year.

People have had vaccines, what more can we do? We can’t stay home forever, there will be new variants every few months, there isn’t an end point in sight for covid sadly. Our economy, peoples happiness and mental health can’t cope with lockdowns on and off for the foreseeable future.

Lockdowns were short term sticky plasters until vaccines were here. They can’t be used as a long term strategy.

FrazzledCareerWoman · 19/12/2021 20:32

NO

Roundeartheratchriatmas · 19/12/2021 20:32

Quite bluntly some of our lives would be at risk if we said yes. As several have explained.

...where one island eventually develops a herd community and the other is just a series of separated, isolated huts with people hissing at each other.

You do release the island of people saying 'yes' would have to be massive, to accommodate all the social distancing you would be insisting on.
Cascascascas · 19/12/2021 20:40

@LockdownCheeseToastie

I agree.
Selfish and foolish they are

invinoveritass · 19/12/2021 20:44

No. I've played the game and I'm tripled jabbed under the promise that vaccines would be an end to lockdown. I won't comply at all, to do so would be dangerous for my family at this point
