Especially the Moderna booster? Husband and I had ours this evening and have started feeling tired and achy and now I'm worried about tomorrow as we have a bunch of heavy lifting and stuff to do. Did any of you feel meh the same evening but wake up feeling fab?

I wonder why people ask this.
No one knows what if any side effects they might get before
Look at the list

This does look like anti vaccine people wanting to make noise about side effects.[/quote]
Just want to clarify I am very pro-vaccine. I have been very ill all night and am obviously just unlucky with how extreme it was but I don’t regret getting it! If I’d known it would affect me this quickly and badly I just would have got my appointment a different day when I didn’t have plans last night and needed to work today. I’m about to go on annual leave so I would have done it then so I could have a Netflix day in bed the next day!

Just a sore arm for a day with the booster, similar for other two doses of moderna. Everyone is different.

Moderna booster after 2 AZ and felt awful for 48 hours, far worse than I did with the other 2. Silvery, achy, sore head etc. Now feel fine.

Moderna booster after 2 AZ last Sunday, had a sore arm for 24 hours and no other effects at all

garlicandsapphires · 17/12/2021 08:29

Fine so far

I am probably the most pro-vaccine person you could find. Kindly, DFOD.

Bit flu-y but nothing a couple of ibuprofen and a good night's sleep couldn't see off. I had Moderna x 3.

Katyy · 17/12/2021 08:35

Moderna after two AZ. My side effects didn’t start until 24 hours after, is that strange? Blurred vision, freezing cold and tired. Fine the day after.

CoffeeMuggins · 17/12/2021 08:40

Well, I can't sleep on the arm and I woke up a few hours before I wanted to. I am also thirsty like I have been in a desert for the past 2 days but other than that, I don't feel half bad! Luckily, we are off but the heavy lifting is going to suuuuck. Thankfully I can relax for the rest of the weekend once done with that.

Had my Moderna booster last Sunday. Other than feeling extra tired - and thirsty ! - I was ok.

Went to work as normal, arm a bit sore.

Iamthewombat · 17/12/2021 08:50

Good luck with the heavy lifting, OP! I hope the after effects soon stop, but be prepared. I am hard as nails but I was good for nothing for 48 hours post booster.

gsaoej · 17/12/2021 09:52

It made me thirsty, tired, have a fever and just generally couldn’t get off sofa. But once the effects passed (quickly, was only ill for less than 24 hours) then I was fine again.

Knitsewthread · 17/12/2021 09:55

I had a Moderna booster yesterday afternoon. Felt ok until I got going this morning, not too bad but a bit hot and cold. Head a bit sore and a bit achey. Temp is up at 38.4 so think that's just making me feel under the weather/sorry for myself!

Hangingtrousers · 17/12/2021 10:08

Had mine at 4pm. Bad sleep and weird dreams. This morning felt like death, achy and headache but I've taken paracetamol and that's helped a bit.

CoffeeMuggins · 17/12/2021 23:01

I spoke too soon this morning. Hit me like a truck at about 10 am. Feverish, cold, sweating, tired, cranky.. I was like a toddler! I even cried a few times and accused my DH of hating me. Poor DH!

At around 7 PM I started feeling much more like my usual self though and right now, I feel about 90% okay. Imagine what I nightmare I would be if I caught covid without the vaccine. I bet the husband would divorce me!

I’m sorry to hear that! I was so thirsty too. Then day 2 felt like flu. Arm was so heavy and painful I could hardly move the gear stick. Day 3- shaky and tired but better.

Ugh, I would have hated sitting in traffic with my arm today!

I am just so glad we managed to get an appointment so soon. Been hearing about people not being able to book for weeks and I dread to think what situation we will be in by then after all the Christmas mixing cases start rearing their ugly heads!
