Especially the Moderna booster? Husband and I had ours this evening and have started feeling tired and achy and now I'm worried about tomorrow as we have a bunch of heavy lifting and stuff to do. Did any of you feel meh the same evening but wake up feeling fab?

I am also incredibly thirsty! WTF is this?

Keen to hear as I am up shivering currently! I’m aching and have hot eyes. Had the jab at 2pm and started feeling achey about 6pm. I felt bad after my two Pfizer but I think that was a full day later whereas this was a lot quicker. I guess I’m someone who just reacts to them but I’m still grateful to have them.

Kiirim · 17/12/2021 01:13

I had the moderna and felt awful for about a week. Headache first, them non stop shivering followed by swollen lymph nodes.

HowBad · 17/12/2021 01:13

I was absolutely fine after mine. My first two were AZ and I was horribly unwell or about 17 hours after the first

Vapeyvapevape · 17/12/2021 01:14

I had the Moderna booster and felt ill for 3 days after no effects from 2 Astra Zeneca jabs .

Steakpies · 17/12/2021 01:20

My first jab was moderna and I had such a bad reaction to it I haven't had the second jab or booster, however my brother, best friend and gran all had moderna and had no reaction to it except a sore arm in two of them and feeling tired and achy all over for one of them which only lasted the rest of the day and she was fine when she woke up. So, from small, anecdotal sample pool, you're likely to be fine tomorrow. I hope you are Smile

EBearhug · 17/12/2021 01:20

Sore arm, but that was all.

TedMullins · 17/12/2021 01:36

Aches began a few hours after the jab, muscle aches in legs made me feel like I’d been booted in the shins. Didn’t get much sleep as I was a bit feverish. In the morning, I still felt achey and a bit fuzzy headed but it was bearable enough that I got up to take the dog out. Was fine for the first 10 mins of the walk then suddenly my vision started going, I had stars and spots in front of my eyes and felt hot, shaky and nauseous, thought I was about to pass out and had to crouch down with my head bent forward til it cleared. Then the headache descended, which was like my brain being squeezed in a vice. I slept the whole day and I’m fine the following day apart from an achey arm. Didn’t have that reaction to my 2 pfizer jabs, just some mild aches

HeadPain · 17/12/2021 01:37

Sore dead arm.

TedGlenn · 17/12/2021 02:02

I'm awake feverish at the mo following Pfizer booster! DH had Moderna booster last week and his symptoms started about 12 hours after his jab and he was really rough for the whole of next day (stayed in bed, couldn't work) so I would imagine if you have symptoms now, they will continue tomorrow. Sorry!

@CoffeeMuggins

I wonder why people ask this.
No one knows what if any side effects they might get before
Look at the list

This does look like anti vaccine people wanting to make noise about side effects.

somewhereovertherain · 17/12/2021 05:25

So far a sore arm. Jab at 10 yesterday morning.

WeAreTheHeroes · 17/12/2021 05:28

Sore arm and a few hours afterwards I felt as though I was coming down with something. That lasted for around 36 hours so I took paracetamol and was okay.

Yes, I was told to drink lots of water.
Felt a bit tired for half a day but by afternoon was fine.

PlugUgly1980 · 17/12/2021 06:47

I had it last Friday. Astra Zeneca for the first 2 and no side effects at all. Moderna booster gave me a terrible dead arm, couldn't sleep on it and struggled to get dressed as it was so painful. Also had nausea, body aches and very tired the following day. But the next day get loads better, ever so slight sore arm lasted a few more days but general unwell feeling had gone.

ItWasntMyFault · 17/12/2021 06:59

I had mine on Tuesday (booster) and had a slightly achey arm for a couple of days and felt a bit thirstier than usual but other than that totally fine

RobinPenguins · 17/12/2021 07:03

I had mine on Tuesday morning and felt a bit crap from Wednesday morning until Wednesday evening. Totally manageable with paracetamol and ibuprofen and didn’t have to change any plans. That was Moderna booster after 2 Pfizers where I had no side effects.

ByTheSea · 17/12/2021 07:04

Fine except sore arm for 16 hours after, then flu-like for another 24 hours, then fine.

Whysotired · 17/12/2021 07:04

Shivers, aches, was physically sick, bad headache. Basically felt like a bad flu for about a day.

girlabouthome · 17/12/2021 07:14

Moderna is apparently 3 times stronger!

I think that’s unfair. People just like to get an idea.

It’s like when people post on the pregnancy board threads along the lines of “when will my morning sickness end” or “how bad will my morning sickness get”. No one can answer that for sure, and the people posting know that. But if you’re feeling shit, or worried about feeling shit, it can be reassuring to read other people’s experiences. It wouldn’t work well as an anti-vax thread since at worst, most people say they felt rough for a day. Hardly terrifying stuff.

Foolsrule · 17/12/2021 07:31

Moderna booster after 2x AZ jabs. Made me unwell for a week.

Snailhaterz2 · 17/12/2021 07:39

Moderna booster after AZ. Felt a bit tired and under the weather for the afternoon, and had a sore arm for 2 days. Really not a problem!

Talipesmum · 17/12/2021 07:44

Both me and my H had moderna booster and we were both grotty for about 24 - 36 hours, starting the evening of the day we got it. I had flu inj as well. Sore arm all day (no visible marks though), and generally prickly and temperature-y. We both dosed up on paracetamol all day and were basically ok, but I wouldn’t have wanted to do lots of heavy lifting the day after.
