Has your 12-15 already been vaccinated? Did they have any side effects?

My 13 year old dd missed her Covid jab at school as she was off.
She’s been so scared to get the jab as she has awful emetophobia (she is on a cbt waiting list for this) and is convinced she will feel nauseous or vomit after the jab.
I have managed to get her booked in on 28/12.
Has your dc already had the jab (which one did they have?) and did they get any side effects?

They can only have Pfizer. My dd has had 2 doses (she's 15 but I'm immunosuppressed) and was absolutely fine.

My ds is 15 and had pfizer (think that's what all the under 18s are getting)
Only side effect was an sore arm for a couple of days

Same with mine.

My DD 12 was vaccinated in October. She had it first thing in the morning & was super tired by early afternoon so came home from school early. Had an early night and bounced out of bed the next day & went to a party that evening! Very minor, seen worse after a sleepover where she’s not slept !

Notonthestairs · 15/12/2021 17:50

DD (12) has had 2 and only reaction was a sore arm over night.

DS has had one vaccination and didn't mention it (at all - I only found out he'd had it because of a friend with a child in the same form).

Pinkyxx · 15/12/2021 17:50

Ps she had Pfizer

Popcornriver · 15/12/2021 17:51

Just a sore arm from my teen too.

Wrinklyeyes · 15/12/2021 17:52

2 teens here - both had a sore arm for a day.

waterlego · 15/12/2021 17:53

My 13 year-old DS had it and had no side effects whatsoever.

Didn’t you have to give consent for him to have it? Or maybe you just meant you didn’t know he’d had it on that specific day?

Nothing here at all.

Branleuse · 15/12/2021 17:55

Change123today · 15/12/2021 17:58

No reaction at all! I was expecting a little tiredness nope as if nothing had actually happened!

frozendaisy · 15/12/2021 18:01

If anything our just turned 13 yr old was in a better mood with more energy after his Pfizer. Figure that one out! Confused

Sirzy · 15/12/2021 18:01

Ds is 12 and just had a slight sore arm

ShrillSiren · 15/12/2021 18:02

My 12 year old son had it and apart from a slightly sore arm for a couple of days, there were no side effects.

frozendaisy · 15/12/2021 18:02

He's just "yay-ed" at the announcement he can soon get his second. Confused

Probably not representative.

Sweetnhappy1 · 15/12/2021 18:02

My 13DD had it in October. She had a sore arm and tiredness, nothing else. She had Covid in Feb.

Haybo26 · 15/12/2021 18:10

Yes, all 3 sons have been vaccinated and none had side effects.

Wakemeuuuup · 15/12/2021 18:15

No reaction at all. If I hadn't seen his vaccination card I wouldn't have believed he'd had it

RoseMartha · 15/12/2021 18:15

Yes they were fine.
