Have you and your immediate family had it?

Loads of people I know have had it.

Myself DH 2 Kids - Nope
DM and SD - Nope
Sister and Brother in Law - Nope
Brother - No
Brothers Wife - Yes

Does that mean anytime now one of us will? I'm absolutely useless when ill. I feel so sorry for myself and DH works away for weeks / months at a time. Not that he would be much use apart from cooking tea and getting the kids up.

I don't know how single parents cope when they have it. Unless they aren't wimps like me.

We all had it in December last year. Husband mildly ill. Kids not Ill at all. I felt awful for about 3 days but was then fine. All have full antibodies to this day.

abw94 · 12/12/2021 22:35

Yes my partner got it after going to the euros final and I got it two days into the isolation.

annonymousse · 12/12/2021 23:04

I had it right back at the beginning. No one else in my family has had it until now. Son in law came down with it a few days ago and now daughter also has it. I work in healthcare and they are both teachers. I had it before vaccines were available and they are both double jabbed.

Cookerhood · 12/12/2021 23:07

Remember there are something like 56 million people in the country who haven't had it. Mind blowing!

MoonlightMedicine · 12/12/2021 23:07

Yes we all had it right at the start of December.

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 12/12/2021 23:09

Yes, in November.

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 12/12/2021 23:10

All have full antibodies to this day.

How do you know that?

WarmthAndDepth · 12/12/2021 23:11

Cooker, that is mind blowing! I'd say 90% of everyone I know have had it, both vaccinated and not, DCx2 and I included, but weirdly not DP.

jenkel · 12/12/2021 23:11

Me and dh had it beginning of nov, kids didn’t get it, no other close family have had it, an uncle and a cousin have in extended family.

Out of a group of friends of 12 families, two families have had it pre jabs , we are the only ones that have had it post jabs apart from one other person,

megletthesecond · 12/12/2021 23:12

Not yet. I imagine it'll get us in days.

As a single parent I am avoiding everything except quiet shops and my socially distanced office. Even pre-pandemic I couldn't risk being ill. I'm part flu jab, part kale smoothie 😁.

DramaAlpaca · 12/12/2021 23:13

None of my immediate or extended family have had it.

WarmthAndDepth · 12/12/2021 23:13

Cloud, how do you know 100% you all have antibodies one year on? I'm really interested.

Vapeyvapevape · 12/12/2021 23:14

My sister, 2 nieces and one of their boyfriends have had it . Neither my dd , my parents nor I have had it.
I feel it’s just a matter of time though and am fed up thinking ’here we go’ every time I get a muscle pain or headache .

Notdoingthis · 12/12/2021 23:15

Apparently. We were all fine. Dd had a runny nose.

ANameChangeAgain · 12/12/2021 23:16

Parents - no
PIL - no
Dsis1 & family - yes
Dsis2 & family - yes
SIL & family - yes
SIL2 & family- yes
BIL & family - yes
Me & mine - yes
We didn't spread it between households as we've been keeping away from each other, but we all have school aged children who brought it home.
No one was particularly ill.

Refrosty · 12/12/2021 23:17

Not yet! But husband is ECV so we haven't been taking too many risks. But with a kid in school (that has had recent outbreaks) we expect it'll reach us.

DM has had it, and a few cousins/friends, but I would say the majority of people I know haven't had it (knowingly).

ronconcoke · 12/12/2021 23:18

Yep, me, DH, DS and DD all had it 2 weeks ago. DS (11) brought it home and then the rest of us tested positive a few days later. We all had symptoms apart from DD (5). Me and DH felt rubbish for a couple of days but then we were fine. DS just had a cough and cold for a few days.

Blinkinname · 12/12/2021 23:19

Yes. I've gone from knowing hardly anyone whose had it to loads of people really quickly

SickAndTiredAgain · 12/12/2021 23:20

I had something that at the time they said they’d just assume was covid but really could have been anything - this was early March 2020, shortly after a large work event where lots of people flew in internationally. But I don’t really count myself as having had it.

DH and DD no
PILs & parents no but MIL did catch whatever I had from me so I guess maybe for her.
Sisters and BIL no

But then I only know one person personally who has tested positive. I know of other people of course, eg friend of a friend, multiple colleagues of my mum (she’s a teacher), but only one person that I actually know personally.

Sosoo · 12/12/2021 23:21

Yes. Rough but never felt like I would need to go to hospital. I do know people who have had it worse though but also many who had very few symptoms.

RachelTheRedNosedReindeer · 12/12/2021 23:22

AFAIK

Dh, dcs and me - no
Ddad - no
Pils - no
Sils and their families - no
Dbro - no
Dsis - has definitely had it. She had it right at the beginning and had symptoms but there was no testing available then. She had an antibody test as she is a doctor and they confirmed she'd had it

whereareyousellotape · 12/12/2021 23:25

Me/Dh & ds1 yes
Ds2 no
Mum no
Dad yes

All at the same time in august don't know how my mum and ds2 never tested positive!

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 12/12/2021 23:25

Me, dh, dc2, dc3, dc4, dc5- no
dc1- yes. Not sure how we didn't get it, she didn't distance from us & continued to share a room with dc3.

FIL & wife- no

Mum & husband- no

MatGrandad -yes (last December, itu for a month then back to care home)

PatGrandma- no

AnotherMansCause · 12/12/2021 23:44

DH & I just tested positive on LFT this evening. Not tested DD yet as she'd already gone to bed, we've ordered PCRs for all of us. Her school bubble is already closed though so I wouldn't be surprised even though she doesn't have any symptoms. I assumed my symptoms were down to having had my booster jab on Friday. I'm hot & achey, & DH has a mild cough & sore throat but so far it's pretty mild.

AnotherMansCause · 12/12/2021 23:46

My sister & BIL had it a year ago & remain unvaccinated, other than that I only know 1 other person, my next door neighbour who lives with her mum (who didn't get it).
