Hi,

Our DS (3) tested positive on Friday completely asymptomatic. Both me and DH tested negative but obviously have been unable to isolate from him.

Just looking for experience in how long it took for it to go around households if at all as were really hoping not to be in isolation for Christmas Day 😫

I'm still negative on LFT this morning! Day 8 of youngest and day 5 of eldest.
Hope your test goes ok today today @Chunks1376

Has anyone caught it so far?
Now on day 10 and day 7 🤞🤞

My other son is now positive. H and I are waiting for our latest pcr results although we're negative on lateral flows.

@Yesthatscorrect
Oh no! Hope he's ok!

My son got it first, we all treated positive within 7 days x

None of us did!

Chunks1376 · 16/12/2021 23:11

Monday test was negative - feeling really really crap though and little one is completely asymptomatic!

Went for another PCR with DH today as he’s also feeling very rough and he never has a day off sick.

Currently awaiting results.

My dad got it last Christmas, no one else got it in the house (4 of us). He isolated as best he could. Surprised no one else got it though.

Friend tested positive today. I was with her on Sunday and hugged her. Testing every day , so far negative but not out of the woods yet.

rooarsome · 16/12/2021 23:34

DD has it. There are 4 others living in the house. Day 10 from PCR tomorrow and all of us still negative on LFTs

Mokoloko · 17/12/2021 08:06

@Chunks1376
I was very poorly on Tuesday and Wednesday but my pcr was also negative!
Strange isn't it !! Let us know your results!

BedknobsNoBroomsticks · 17/12/2021 08:11

I was the only one in my household who got it.

We carried on as normal really within the house, can't really stop young kids wanting kisses and cuddles from their mum. Myself and the kids isolated while DH still worked. He is tested at work so didn't need to isolate. DH is unvaccinated.

My DD tested positive on LFT Monday, positive PCR Tuesday. No one else has yet to test positive.

Had to speak to practice nurse yesterday who said it's quite common for people not to catch it from household members. Just hoping no one ends up with a positive on the last day of her isolation (Christmas Eve).

It is all very odd.
