DS age 15 missed the covid vaccine at school in October as he had covid at the time. We were originally told he could have his jab 4 weeks after the positive PCR test so made an appointment- then the week before he was due to be jabbed the guidance changed that there should be 12 weeks between PCR & jab. Is this still the guidance? As I'm not clear that immunity from covid works against omicron, feel like he needs the jab ASAP. Any insight appreciated.

Hi all - I took 14 year old DD for her first vaccination yesterday - exactly 12 weeks to the day since her covid positive test.
They told me that they would now vaccinate 12-15 year olds 8 weeks after testing positive and that she can come back after 8 weeks for her second jab.
Can't find any of this new guidance online though.

i got my healthy dc vax after covid end of december 4 weeks after

Its 4 weeks for vulnerable or those living with vulnerable anyway but round here all kids are allowed 4 weeks post covid.

DS now has his first vaccine booked for 26 January. Crossing everything that he doesn't get covid again before then...
