Just picked this up from socials though cover age still says 40 - apparently it’s before it changes formally tomorrow

Apparently the referral letter part only applies to those who are immunocompromised and receiving a third vaccine dose. The email is confusing on that point though. We managed to book for this week and hoping even if it was an error we’re booked in late enough in the day to get any spares.

fedup078 · 12/12/2021 08:44

I'm pretty sure I ticked that I wasn't vulnerable so I think it's just a case of it not being updated yet . Otherwise it should not have let me proceed

Fuckinellitsme · 12/12/2021 08:48

@fedup078

I've booked it The email then says you won't be able to get it if you don't have a referral letter but as the rules are about to change I presume that won't be the case
This is referring to third primary doses for severely immunocompromised people, not boosters.
SnailandtheWail · 12/12/2021 08:49

Im thinking they haven’t updated the email yet as I am certain I did not tick anything saying I was vulnerable or a health worker.

33 and had mine on Friday at a walk in clinic in London.

A 35 year old friend booked his booster through the national service yesterday for later this week.

Chocolatemushrooms · 12/12/2021 09:42

Thank you, I'm 35 & have just booked mine thanks to seeing this, also passed it on to a friend not on MN

Anyone else having problems with the website ?

Silversun83 · 12/12/2021 16:47

@ZippyZap

Does this mean the usual walk in places for boosters will let me walk in next week for it? They are still saying over 40s walk in at the moment on the website but hoping I can walk in next week once the rules change to over 30s
Me and DH (late 30s) had ours at a walk-in today. They have a sign outside saying boosters available for over 18s as long as it's been three months. No queue, done in five minutes!
Juno2002 · 12/12/2021 19:38

Yes it’s just stuck on a loop. I’ve been trying on and off all afternoon with no success

Sorry, my above comment was for you!
TenGames · 12/12/2021 19:44

Anyone managed to book in NI less than 6 months after 2nd dose?
Are walk-in centres exactly that, no booking required?

EasterIssland · 13/12/2021 00:07

Just managed to get a slot after nearly 15mins loop.
