53 booked my booster early November for this coming week ....6 months since last jab as per the guidelines at that point.
Just had it cancelled !!!!
Go back to NHS site...as text told me to ..but it won't let me book !
Nearest walk in is a 100 mile round trip 😡

Horst · 11/12/2021 18:37

I’m just 30 and managed to book for next Friday.

Orangedaisy · 11/12/2021 18:39

Re the email once youve booked saying you need a letter, they just haven’t updated the automatic reply. I am 41 and had my booster on Thursday (booked on Wednesday) and just swung in and jabbed, no questions asked.

PlugUgly1980 · 11/12/2021 18:39

Our local walk-in centre we're doing boosters for anyone yesterday as long as you had a 3 month gap from second vaccine. They weren't bothered about age at all.

Gensola · 11/12/2021 18:40

Hmm I’m worried it won’t work on the day as mine also says I need a referral letter even though I selected I am not CEV?! What a shambles

StonewalledNameChange · 11/12/2021 18:42

Is the email people are talking about this text? "If you have a booked a 3rd dose you will not be able to get vaccinated without your referral letter."

A 'third dose' is different from a booster, I think?

nordica · 11/12/2021 18:43

The referral letter is only if you're having a 3rd dose. That's different from a booster (even though the booster is technically our 3rd of course so the wording is confusing).

Tigerwhocameforsupper · 11/12/2021 18:49

Just booked but earliest appointment is January,

Someaddedsugar · 11/12/2021 19:08

Thank you @StonewalledNameChange and @nordica. That is the wording and it definitely confused me. Hopefully mine will go ahead then on Monday.

LakeShoreD · 11/12/2021 19:10

Thanks OP - DH and I are both early 30s and it worked for us, he’s booked for Tuesday and me for Thursday!

Misspacorabanne · 11/12/2021 20:42

Thanks op, just booked myself in! Smile

wildseas · 11/12/2021 21:11

Thanks OP - I've just managed to book mine between xmas and new year - although its a bit of a trek to the nearest appointment so they must only have released some venues (or be fully booked in others)

hajaumkih · 12/12/2021 11:52

I'm 34, booked last night, 5.5 months from second jab. Been this morning and got the booster with no problem 😁

shalalala · 12/12/2021 12:09

Thanks OP! Booked last night and just been and has it now with no problem. Thanks for spreading the word

Brusca · 12/12/2021 12:41

Thanks for this thread. I've just booked my 18yo ds in for Wednesday.

tigerbear · 12/12/2021 13:59

Anyone else having trouble booking an appointment on the NHS website?
I’m 44 so def eligible, but once I’ve put in my date of birth, postcode and NHS number, it won’t continue past this section, it just goes back to the start of the form 😬
