Aged 36.. just manged to book booster via NHS

I just managed to book my booster on NHS website, I am 36. I did get mine a month earlier than my cohort and I have mild asthma but it's not been letting me and I have been checking daily, so something must have changed.

I did read online it will open up to over 30s on Monday so I think it's the usual website opening up a couple of days before they announce.

Good luck everyone!

Thanks, OP! Just booked mine (37).

RamblingFar · 11/12/2021 22:24

Booked for next weekend. Had to go 40 miles from home though. I'll tie it in with visiting other stuff in the area.

Lockheart · 11/12/2021 22:43

I managed to book mine earlier today, next Friday at the pharmacy over the road from my house! I'm early 30s.

mangoandraspberries · 11/12/2021 22:52

Thanks OP, I've just booked for me and DH

Rovinonmars · 11/12/2021 22:56

Thank you. Just booked mine for Tuesday

bonkersbirdie · 11/12/2021 22:57

Phew. Booked for after Christmas. Thanks for the heads up. 😁

Badabingbadabum · 11/12/2021 23:03

36 and just booked. I think it has been four months since my second dose.

LittleRen · 11/12/2021 23:12

I’m so pleased so many of you booked. I’m going tomorrow so shall let you know what happens and if it all goes smoothly with no issues. I am a little concerned it hasn’t been announced yet and places may not have caught up but if I have my confirmation then should be ok!

Thanks for sharing...just booked mine (I tried yesterday and it said I wasn't eligible). 33 with no underlying conditions, 2nd dose in August.
Booking confirmation says I cannot receive 3rd dose without showing my referral letter. Will see what happens, hopefully they don't really need it.

Martyitsyourkids · 11/12/2021 23:21

Early 30's and me & dh (late 30's) turned up at walk in site today and got our boosters. Feeling very grateful 😊

Martyitsyourkids · 11/12/2021 23:22

Just to add, the lady at the vax centre said the guidance had changed just today, so any age can turn up for booster (provided appropriate time in between 2nd of course).

Xmasprrssiehelp · 11/12/2021 23:24

I got mine this week. I am 33 - I live in a high uptake area (93% over age of 12 have had at least 1 dose) and was invited by my gp.

Felt a bit poorly the day after but better than covid.

I am so grateful to be in a country where I can get a free vaccine like this.

EasterIssland · 11/12/2021 23:33

36 here and a can book for Xmas eve, maybe not … the secon date I could do is the 5th January but as I’ll be back to work after nearly 2weeks off I’d rather not risk taking again time off for feeling unwell so close. I’ll wait til Monday that more places should be added. I’m 7m+ vaccinated so I can wait a few more weeks or I’ll go to a walk in centre

DoodleBelle · 11/12/2021 23:50

Thanks OP

This refers to third doses for people who were identified as having a low immune response, not the boosters :)
sohypnotic · 12/12/2021 09:41

I was able to book (34) a booster but the small print on my confirmation email says I have to bring my referral letter or I won't be vaccinated...

sohypnotic · 12/12/2021 10:07

Ah wish they would make it more obvious the 3rd dose is different to a booster, so confusing!

afinethingindeed · 12/12/2021 10:16

Thank you @sarah246

springlike · 12/12/2021 14:02

Make sure you have a clear day the day after having it. I had it yesterday, fainted twice today and cannot get up off the sofa! I wouldn't advise Christmas Eve @EasterIssland

LittleRen · 12/12/2021 14:24

Just had mine - moderna after having Pfizer. Will be interesting to see how I feel.

On Friday my husband had Pfizer after astra and felt absolutely fine so far.

The website is gone wrong. Going in a loop asking the same questions

chillydownwiththefiregang · 12/12/2021 15:47

Managed to book mine for tomorrow! Thanks.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 12/12/2021 15:49

Thanks for this OP, saw the thread last night, booked for today and have been successfully bolstered this afternoon.

Soontobe60 · 12/12/2021 19:29

My DD had hers today - she’s 27, no health concerns. She went to a walk in centre.
