On what day did you start to feel better?

Mild symptoms started 6 days ago. For the last for days, we have felt really unwell.

When did you turn a corner?

I am on day 16 and have been very ill. Started to improve from day 12

Palavah · 06/12/2021 19:28

2 weeks from the first sniffle, 4 days from the really shit days.
It has a real sting in the tail, post-viral fatigue was awful.

StringersBell · 06/12/2021 19:41

Day 8 here and whilst I’ve been proper poorly, I feel better today. It’s different for everyone. Hope you feel better soon

Babymamamama · 06/12/2021 19:46

Week three i turned a corner. Give it time.

Gearedtoyou · 06/12/2021 19:48

I had what I described as a really bad cold for the first week, in the 2nd week I felt very ill. Like the worst hangover you've ever had that just went on and on and on. Started to feel better at the beginning on the 3rd week and I'd say another 2 weeks before I felt "well".

I hadn't had any vaccinations at the time though.

historyrocks · 06/12/2021 19:49

I was told that day 10 is the turning point for many people. Yiu either get better or get worse. I had the latter. Had a bit like a heavy cold for the first week. Seemed to get better on day 9, then became really poorly on day 10 and was in hospital. Day 14 was the turning point for me when I started to feel better.

crochetmonkey74 · 06/12/2021 19:50

I had extreme tiredness and felt weak, day 10 I started to feel like I could actually stand up for a bit. Week after that I was v tired v quick. Took about 3 weeks to be back to normal

thesockfromtheroof · 06/12/2021 19:56

It takes time. I started to feel better a couple of weeks in, overdid it and ended up sleeping through an entire weekend.

Let yourself rest, no matter how energetic you feel. It takes time x

puffylovett · 06/12/2021 20:00

I’m another who went downhill somewhere between day 7 and day 10. Couldn’t stand up for a week without retching, couldn’t eat or drink. Probably took another 10 days when I went back to work, then I started to improve and feel better. I have actually felt much better since recovering! I’m theorising that because Covid is an inflammatory disease, it will have increased my ferritin (which is usually on the floor at around 2 or 3). Just my own private theory :)

Blupblup · 06/12/2021 20:02

I'm on day 17 and am far from recovered. Didn't get out of bed for a good 10-12 days. Making progress now but inching along.

Toddlerteaplease · 06/12/2021 20:07

I felt worse on day 11 but improved quickly after wards.

Ohdofuckoffcovid · 06/12/2021 20:24

Oh god. Thus is not what I wanted to hear.Sad

Are you vaccinated? A lot of people get worse after day 7 when they aren’t vaccinated, I’m not sure it’s so true if you are

KylieKoKo · 06/12/2021 20:28

I had two days in bed, then two days able to move to the sofa. I'm now on day 7 and can't wait to get out and about again. I've sneezed a lot today and my sense of smell is a bit dulled but other than that I feel pretty much normal.

Ohdofuckoffcovid · 06/12/2021 20:34

Yes, vaccinated

I honestly think a lot of the day 7-10 horror stories are much more pertinent when people aren’t jabbed

eztiger · 06/12/2021 20:41

I had mild symptoms on day 1 and 2, nothing on 3 and 4, tiredness and confusion 5-10 and felt much better by 11. Sense of taste and smell were gone day 7-14. I’m normally very active and took it easy for another week, before cracking on as usual from then on

As everyone else said, it’s different for everyone. Hopefully you’ll feel better soon!

User9911 · 06/12/2021 20:44

Day 14 for me. Started out mild got worse and worse until day 10-11. Even on day 13 I was bed bound. Day 14 started to improve massively.

samthebordercollie · 06/12/2021 20:45

I had a sore throat for a couple of days and lost taste & smellfor 10 days. That's all.

troppibambini6 · 06/12/2021 20:47

Day 9 I started to feel better. I was still exhausted and not feeling great but definitely turned a corner.
I had a a couple of times earlier when I thought I was getting better but then went right downhill again. I really messed with my head.
Day 14 and it was like someone flicked a switch and I was back to normal. I know I am really lucky though as friends are still struggling with tiredness weeks later.

Harleynotsothin · 06/12/2021 20:51

I felt awful day 4-7 couldn't get out of bed on day 7, but then felt much better day 8 and by day 14 back to normal. I'm unvaxxed.

DH is on day 8 and he's still really feeling ill. Coughing lots, tight chest, fever and feeling sick. I'm starting to get worried tbh, I guess in the next 2 days he'll either turn a corner or hopefully not, get worse.
I told him he'd probably be too ill to eat or get out of bed if he was going to get really ill though. Which he's not.

Ohdofuckoffcovid · 06/12/2021 23:50

I’m feeling a teeny bit better tonight aparr from an upset tummy but its been up and down. I cannot smell a thing.
