PCR Turnaround

Just wondering how long it takes for PCR results at the moment...

33 hours for us - just had it back.

Our recent drive through tests were all between 12 and 16 hours (South East)

30hrs here, last PCR in Sept took 15hrs

We all went to a drive through today at 12pm, one is back already!(positive), awaiting the others still.

4 tests in past few weeks all came back within 18hrs. Yorkshire.

2 weeks ago had one back in around 11 hours. We’re on hour 13 at the moment and waiting. Hope to know in the morning but waits on here are making me feel less confident.

We've done loads recently and the quickest was 11 hours and the longest was about 22 hours. Most have been around 17-18 hours.

Results just in (negative, phew), took 45 hours.

We’re at 26 hours. Desperately hoping we get the results today as have nativities over next few days so will be sad to miss our if we don’t find out today.

We had tests Friday 10am at a drive thru my result back by 3.30pm same day, negative, kids back by 5.30pm both positive. Was not expecting to get them back so quickly.

Last week myself and 5 colleagues did them and posted them at the exact same time into the same post box and it ranged from 24 hours to 5 days for us to get them all back

Posted mine Wednesday evening (Yorkshire). Negative result receive today, an hour ago.

Sent DS's yesterday morning- hope we hear if he can go to school by tomorrow but not holding my breath.

54 hours, test done on Thursday at a walk in centre. Previous test all back within 20 hours, apart from a postal one that took days, so I was surprised this one took so long.

Walk in appointment 10:30 yesterday, woke up this morning and results had been sent at 7am. Negative though so much just be a nasty cough 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mine came back after 43 hours (positive). Longest I’ve ever had to wait for one.

Posted ours Tues morning, got results back Friday - DS positive, ours negative.

25 hours. Tested yesterday lunchtime.

I had one this weekend and was told 72 hours...

48 hours from the time I put it in the letterbox to the text coming through.

50 hours now (since it was put through the letterbox). Whats weird is that dh got his result first thing this morning and we sent them both off at the same time

33 hours at drive through testing centre

I attended a conference recently and a large supplier of CV19 tests were there. They said always go to a drive through and wherever possible attend a site that has a testing centre on site (there arent many of them!) Dont trust the post and if anyone lives near Heathrow Express Test does 3 hour turn around tests for £119. Its double the normal cost but could be an option.

I dont think any other areas of the country do something like this bar a few smaller companies which cost considerably more!

I went to a walk in yesterday morning and my negative result was emailed 16 hours later- this was Leicestershire

We did walk in this morning and waiting for result now. Would have done drive in if I'd known....

Anyone have any experience of PCR turnaround times in the past week? We’re on 33 hours and still waiting (from drive through)
