Dd is a little unwell. Doing a pcr later.

She's got no temp. She's very snotty, she gets allergies anyway so thought it was that at first but she's been snotty since yesterday with no let up. Today she's woke up very congested. Occasional cough from sniffing and sneezing.
Also complaining of a slight headache. I sound say usual energy levels, doesn't seem overly tired or fatigued. Watery eyed. Sounds very much like a cold bug will obviously do a pcr.

Obviously pcr will tell but how was covid for your children?

No known cases in her school but the area we live in is pretty rife with it at the minute.

She's also due flu nasal spray this week? Say her test was negative and she was well enough to go school in a day or two? Will they still do it?

Blood shot eyes and snotty nose. For about 48 hours. Wouldn’t have noticed had it not been for compulsory LFT

14 year old DS has just had it. Symptoms started last Saturday with him feeling tired and generally under the weather. He got worse during the day and was ready for bed by 8pm. He was really hot during the night. By Sunday he had a headache and sore throat and felt tired but the fever had gone. He had a small cough towards the end of this week but is now fully recovered. His main symptoms were headache and sore throat which were managed with paracetamol and lots of drinks. He claims to have lost sense of taste but I think he's exaggerating as it certainly hasn't affected his ability to consume snacks!
All in all, he's had worst colds. I've tested negative throughout despite DP getting it too

12 year old DS currently has it. He has a slight blocked nose but other wise is fine.

DC (11) had a mild sore throat and felt a bit sick. I only picked it up on a random lateral flow. She did lose her sense of smell but not until several days after she tested positive. It still hasn't fully returned after 3 months.

Thank you everyone. Pcr test done. Grateful there's a test site nearby 😅 interesting to find out results. I had convinced myself it's just a cold and pcr a precaution but now I'm not so sure! She's now complaining of a sore throat too. Thankfully she's eating and drinking as usual!

Hope she recovers quickly, whatever the results Smile

High temperature, bad headache and slept for about 3 or 4 days. Didn't eat anything.
Didn't really develop a cough at all.

We are in the midst of it right now.
DC1 (4) cough and normal energy level
DC2 (9) cough and normal energy levels
DC3 (11) really unwell, constant coughing, had steroids, needs close attention incase he deteriorates. I’m a bit scared
DC4 (13) hoarse voice, couple of coughs. He’s still awaiting PCR results as was well and negative when the test tested so just been back again.
I’m negative and well so far. Very strange virus.

My 14 year old had COVID at the start of the summer holidays ,complained of a sore throat so I tested him with and LFT immediately positive confirmed by a PCR a couple of days later ,he had a temperature and felt rough for a couple of days but fine after that
I had a cold and cough a few weeks ago and felt much worse than ds did with covid I was negative,🤷

LubaLuca · 14/11/2021 13:19

eye sockets aching

Yes, I forgot about that strange symptom!

PiglingBlonde · 14/11/2021 14:00

DC1 -14- high temperature and headache. Sore eyes. Lost sense of taste and smell. Very listless and weepy for a week.

DC2 - 12- no temperature. Horrible barking cough with occasional breathlessness for one really bad night.

They had it at the same time which was fun...

Forgetmenot37 · 14/11/2021 14:38

8 Year Old: Fever and vomiting.

Peak flow readings dropped significantly

Migraine and extreme light sensitivity.

(No cough. No snotty symptoms and no sore throat)

ApplesAreTheBaneOfMyLife · 14/11/2021 20:53
