Unless someone is teaching them how to dance. This will crack it I am sure.

Is it to stop Kylie relaunching her career?

Joking apart, singing was banned in lots of contexts during the various waves.

x2boys · 12/11/2021 19:42

Even if they are on their own?
Or is this to prevent spread in pubs and clubs?
As if that's the case the UK had some quite stringent rules in pubs and clubs untill a few months ago .

Tryingtryingandtrying · 12/11/2021 19:48

To be fair they can do it in a place of residence.

What's the best way to tell if someone is allowed to dance?

OP posts:
XenoBitch · 12/11/2021 19:58

Ban the people who are bad at both, regardless of vaccine status.

Tryingtryingandtrying · 12/11/2021 20:15

They can all wear no dancing badges. So everyone knows that it's not allowed
Unless, of course, they are being taught how to dance.

You think that’s bad, unvaccinated people of NSW cannot vertically consume alcohol, they need to be seated, only vaccinated people can do “vertical consumption” and yes, that is the terminology used.
Now this is where it gets interesting, unvaccinated people are not allowed in pubs and clubs so are they talking about private residences, outdoors? Not sure about this one.

MLMshouldbeillegal · 13/11/2021 09:18

Nicola Sturgeon did a lot of banging on about vertical consumption of alcohol in the summer.

Didn't make sense then, doesn't make sense now.

Kohby190 · 13/11/2021 09:26

Oh wow, I thought this ridiculous term was started by the Australian government. Silly me, I shouldn’t have given them so much credit to come up with anything original.

www.bighospitality.co.uk/Article/2021/08/05/Scottish-Government-confirms-vertical-drinking-will-be-permitted-when-restrictions-ease-on-9-August-Monday

It's a load of nonsense, isn't it? We have these silly rules that you're supposed to wear a mask when you walk into a pub/cafe/restaurant and go to your table, then as soon as you sit down you can take it off.

FromEden · 13/11/2021 09:38

Is there anyone who isn't at least starting to think that maybe these rules are all a load of bullshit? I mean, ffs it's ridiculous at this stage.

seb342 · 13/11/2021 09:41

@FromEden I've thought this for a long time. They just keep getting more ridiculous but at least people are starting to see through this whole situation and question things.

Kohby190 · 13/11/2021 09:57

@MLMshouldbeillegal, we have the same, also have to don the mask to go to the bathroom and the bar to order, it’s bonkers.

I’ve thought they are BS from the start but people lap it up.

Kohby190 · 13/11/2021 10:02

What you probably won’t see on the news is Melbourne had a protest of around 80,000 people in response to Dan Andrew’s proposed pandemic legislation. This bill is a real slap in the face for democracy and basically gives him the power to rule by decree. If this gets passed in it’s current form Australia could be in some real trouble.

milkyaqua · 13/11/2021 11:15

^Yes, full of bright sparks. I saw one woman featured on the news shouting about preventing Satanic abuse of children...

Mythroatisstillsore · 13/11/2021 11:18

How are cases looking in Australia esp places that have opened up more?

boobot1 · 13/11/2021 11:23

How can it possibly be policed. Bloody stupid.

Refractory · 13/11/2021 11:26

Godspeed to Australia.

SickAndTiredAgain · 13/11/2021 11:27

That’s the wording used? Vertical? I’d say people sitting down are still more vertical than they are horizontal. Maybe unvaccinated people should only consume alcohol while lying horizontal.

Kohby190 · 13/11/2021 11:29

Nice to see you milky, throwing shade as usual 🙄
Of course they were all anti vax nutters with low IQs, we get it. Move along.

@Mythroatisstillsore cases are still low in NSW and have been openish since mid October and as of November 8 have dropped most restrictions for the vaccinated and getting around 300 cases a day now.
Victoria is still getting over 1000 cases daily.

Kohby190 · 13/11/2021 11:30

@SickAndTiredAgain don’t give them any ideas 😂

I've been to most of the London protests which are just pissed off people, you know, wondering why we're living under an emergency government for 20 months, but lo! the BBC finds the Satanists every time.

I am not to mention the sheer lunacy that has overtaken so many? That is what she was shouting into a microphone. You're the one who has embroidered the picture. Feelings hurt?

I can't say I recall you at all.

Sian73 · 13/11/2021 13:36

Governments world wide have lost the plot with Covid now.

I think it's best to ignore them and get on with living life autonomously, independently and sensibly.

Hairwizard · 13/11/2021 13:49

@Sian73

Quite.
This is what needs to happen asap
