A Moderna Booster

I am really hoping to get a Moderna shot rather than a Pfizer as my booster. Moderna's stats on breakthrough infections are way more impressive than Pfizer's and just not getting infected it my priority. (I am group 4 and have shielded pretty much throughout.) I'm in North Yorkshire (nr Scarborough). Anyone local know of any vaxx centres giving Moderna rather than Pfizer? Thanks

(I know it's a long shot but I thought I'd try it.)

Don't waste your time. Boosters are Pfizer unless medical reason not to.

My friend in Sheffield got a Moderna booster over the weekend. Just turned up and that was what they had.

Was your friend having a third dose rather than a booster? The booster is Pfizer.

If you’re willing to travel I heard Guys and St Thomas’s is doing Moderna boosters in London. I heard they are the only ones, everywhere else is Pfizer. They have a number or maybe an email address you can try (I had my first two Moderna there)

She was having a booster and was really surprised to get a Moderna. It's what led me to think I'd try...

Click through the Vale of York section on this link and there are clinics with only Moderna apparently. northyorkshireccg.nhs.uk/covid-19/north-yorkshire-walk-in-vaccination-clinics/

It was at St Oswalds Church, corner of Bannerdale Road and Abbeydale Road. I assure you that she misunderstood nothing and has a half-dose of Moderna booster in her!

I'm working in a vaccine centre and we are using both Pfizer and Moderna as boosters. Most people will get Moderna as we have loads of it about to go out of date.

I had a Moderna booster at a walk in centre in Cheshire but that was because I cannot have Pfizer due to allergies.

My DH had his booster last week and was told on entering it would be Pfizer and that if anyone wanted Moderna that they were doing them this week. We are in Surrey.

Yep,I've had Moderna as a booster. You can search in the NHS site for places with Moderna.

Had my booster last week- Moderna. No medical reasons why. It was what they were using on the day.
