Faint lft after time, what's your experience?

DS left for school 15 min after nose only test.
At a quick glance we all were negative.
An hour later his test shows a very faint line. I wonder if it was there but I didn't see it at 15 min, but probably not.
I am aware this doesn't "count".
However, in your experience, is this the beginning?
I will get him to do another one this evening.

I got two PCRs in the end die to different symptoms and both were negative. I do think there was too much liquid on it, yes.

Same happened to my son. Negative at 30 mins, test was read again before being binned at 40 mins and was very faintly positive. His PCR was positive. If your son's at school I probably would have pulled him out to retest him as he is likely infectious (but I guess it's a bit late now!)

@BlackInk I've just remembered, the line did evaporate. But felt it was better to be safe than sorry.

Yes, DS was negative on all subsequent tests.
