I have covid. My two kids are negative according to regular lateral flows. Which means they can go to school

Great in theory, but I have nobody who will come and take them and collect them

We do not live with their dad. He works from 7-4 so can't do either, fine

But he's shirking his responsibility to have them for dinner once this week and once overnight at the weekend

If they can go to school then surely legally they're allowed to see their dad? Does anybody know if this is correct or am I being grabby?

I thought you had to do a PCR rest of a member of your household was positive?

You should have been advised to get your children a PCR test and I feel you should do this.

I had covid and didn't have to isolate from the rest of my household who didn't get it either, but I took licorice root and green tea capsules from H&B after I read some scientific articles. I have been taking licorice root for flu for about 10 years now. If you take it when symptoms first arise then you never actually get ill. It worked amazingly well. Covid was really mild. I only had one bout of coughing and some fatigue then it went within 48hrs.

However, we did all quarantine for about 10 days so as not to pass it on.

I'll pass on the articles:

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8066091/
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8002208/

To be honest, I think the kids should stay away for a little while just in case they pass it on.

If anyone is interested, eucalyptus for acne and acne scars and the best thing for period pains is a combination of (ginger + cloves + ibuprofen + green tea). All available as capsules if you go online.

Oh and if you have food poisoning, charcoal tablets. Coconut oil for skin fungal infections. etc.. But being able to inhibit Covid19 the same way I inhibited the flu/colds was really spectacular. I though I was a goner for sure.

@girlmom21

If he's useless as it is, I wouldn't expect him to do anything to help.

Do you have a garden the kids can play in?

I do it's just gets so boggy! We've had wellies on and played outside today along with some school work.

They're ok, they aren't bored - it's just me being over the top I think

The advantage of doing a PCR is then you don't have to do lateral flow's for a while if positive... And you get to walk to a post box to post it( which is good if you are not too unwell but bad if you feel shit)

True. I mean you could do them on different days too.

Silly question but am I allowed to walk to the post box to post it as I have covid?

Another silly question, there's a drive through test centre that I could take my kids to. Is that allowed? Jesus I haven't a clue my heads all fuzzy

My kids dad refused to see them when one had Covid but the others didn’t and could still go to school but he refused to see them I also had no one to take them so we all just had to isolate, not nice but you can’t force or make someone

Yes to both. You are allowed to walk to the post box and post it and come back. You are supposed to avoid people.
